Hi , My spouse is from Bulgaria and I applied on August 9 2016 and was approved for sponsorship very fast . They told me it is already sent and received to Visa office in Rumania on Sept 19th .
Online it says : Permanent resident Status In process . But my spouse never received AOR2 Letter or any acknowledgement that is received . Does someone know how long it takes for this ?
and isn't he supposed to have an Applicant number different that the one I got for the Sponsorship ?

You could post your question here. This thread is about Romanian Visa office. They should be able to tell you whether you should wait for AOR2 or not. Good luck

Our application on the Permanent Residence side has been "In Process" since August 22nd. We never received an AOR2 and don't expect to receive one (we did receive a Sponsor Approved letter via email but no AOR2 for our application being received by the visa office in Ottawa). The AOR2 is not that important if your application already shows as in process. My understanding is some never receive an AOR2 for whatever reason.

Anyone else here similar to us? I believe there are quite a few of us.

My situation is like that too! We received Sponsor Approval Sept 19 and then ecas showed "in process" on Sept 23. We never received AOR2 and it's been 1 month since, so I am assuming that we will never receive AOR 2.

Same here. But sponsorship application is approved i came to knew thru call to cic. Wat abt yours?

I called yesterday and the agent told me he would make inquiry into and and I should wait,so I guess I would get some explanations soon. Am glad to hear you got yours confirmed. I really hope mine has been approved and sent. The silence is unhealthy.

Dont worry you are not alone. There are some members who still didnt got SA. So we will get next week. In sha Allah. Wat abt your ecas? Us it in process?

I too am waiting for my SA... mycic says review in progress now so I hope I will get my SA soon.

Can I apply for a GCMS even though I have a representative assisting me with my application.
The representative never heared of the GCMS you can inquire. Once she looked up what the abbreviation stands for, she quickly told me it wasn't for me and there wasn't any reason to apply for it since it has nothing to do with immigration which I think she doesn't what she is talking about. My next question how much does it cost to require a GCMS note? We don't get any updates after we received the one email confirming the SA was approved and my file was sent to Sydney. Please help clarify the above.

This is your AOR2. The visa office will contact you if they need additional information or you might get PPR. where is your visa office?

Singapore VO. I believe they will request for Police Clearance, I plan to pay RRPR so as not to delay the process.

Yes, you can order your GCMS notes yourself if you are a PR or Canadian Citizen. It will cost you $5 to get your notes.
You can order them from here: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do
You also have to submit a consent form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5744E.pdf
For your consent form, make sure it is filled properly otherwise it will be returned back to you. Do the following:
Section A is filled by the principle applicant.
Section B is left blank.
Section C is filled by the sponsor.
DO NOT forget to sign the form.
Also, when you are ordering your notes,
1) for the type of the information you are requesting, select access to information and NOT the privacy act
2) also make sure, you choose the electronic notes of the immigration or citizenship officer
