Its been a week since I received SA and was forwarded to the Manila Visa Office but until now I don't have AOR2 yet. (Sigh). I'm starting to think that maybe my Visa Officer is slow

5 days after SA finally I was able to open our ECAS.

On Sponsor Side : " DECISION MADE "

PA side, after APPLICATION RECEIVED , it was changed to "IN PROCESS".

And me being the applicant I received an email from MANILIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca , stating that they already received our application.
Is this AOR2?
Hello , I would like to know few details regarding the visa processing from New Delhi office ?

First of all , last morning I recived a mail from Delhi immigration office stating I should submit the payment receipt copy and PCC. But these two documents have already been submitted while sending the application. Should I reply to their mail stating we have the submitted the requested documents or just ignore the mail ?

How long it will take visa to process / passport call from New Delhi office ?

Hi Everyone,

i wonder if you guys here, able to see medical received or review in progress on both ECAS and mycic after AOR1? or should i be able to see after getting SA or AOR2?

thanks

I was able to see medical passed on MYCIC before AOR1 and medical received on ECAS after SA. I didn't have access to ECAS 5 days after I received SA.

Wow, medicals received in ECAS showed when I got AOR1 and that was after linking the application to MyCiC. on MyCiC it was passed as soon as I linked the app. kinda strange how they update everything randomly and I still haven't got SA yet...

Does anyone here under "A background check is needed" show "In Progress"? Mine has been "Not Started" even though Review of eligibility has been showing "Review in Progress" for more than a month now. I'm reading they usually start both at the same time which is why I am a bit concerned/worried.

Mine says the same and has been for about a month now as well. We provide an FBI clearance so I'm just wondering what is involved with the background check and why it takes so long.

I've read from another spousal sponsorship thread that when the background check says In Process normally after a week or so, they receive PPR.

Thanks, that's good to know. So it's probably normal then

I think they just don't want to spend the money to run the background check if they don't deem you eligible (meaning they want to make sure they will approve you before they pay the money to run it). The FBI clearance gives them the US side but they want to run their own interpol and other checks as well. We also sent in an FBI Clearance

Ah, I see. Looks as though we are on the same timeline (US sposorship/Aug 9-10 submission). Keep us updated on your progress, as I will expect mine to be similar. Have a great day and here's hoping for a speedy approval for you!

Congratulations for Aor2. Its standard email and if you have already submitted than ignore it. When did you got your SA?

Hey Hencho.. why don't you try applying visitor visa through online.
I see you got your SA, its just a try...
If they are convinced on your situation, they could approve the visitor visa.
so that he can come early before spousal sponsorship completes.

Is this still normal, mine just stated application received nothing else on ECAS. Then mycic nothing really just open and eligibility not started.

Hi nvtsk! We actually tried this in August because it's our son's birhday as well. So when I made the invitation letter, I've put in there that it's our son's birthday and i'm expecting to give birth 1st week of January... They denied it though. Their reason is because of the family ties he has here in Canada they don't believe he'll come back at the end of his visitor stay. Anyway, we're going to try again this December to apply for a visitor visa in case the spousal sponsorship hasn't progressed that much yet that time.
