Congrats to all.

I'm a bit sad, I think I'll be the last one to get his SA in the August group despite of my timeline. I've been told the Francophone department (Family class Processing Centre in Mississauga) has a backlog of at least two weeks, probably more. I filed my application in French - A huge mistake I've been told.

Hi ! We filed our application in French too ! It was received end of august but we already got AOR1 and SA. It really depends on the agent and the case I think.

Oh, that sucks :(
Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it doesn't take too much longer!

The update could be that they have changed the "A background check is needed" to "Not started" instead of "Not needed at this time".

Yes :)

Hey, comforting news... Late last night I found MYCIC had updated the medical report to "Passed", and I got an email this morning notifying me of the change. It was followed by two others from CIC in response to my case specific inquiry. In brief, one confirms that all my documents have been received, and the latter (from HK directly) tells me to disregard the request for a medical examination. I suppose in our case it was an accidental button pressing or something of the sort.

Anyways, that's cleared up... moving forward.

That news certainly does make me feel better. Thanks for following up!

Hi Everyone,

bit surprise here. i can check ecas just now. :D
sponsor :
We received your application to sponsor on August 31, 2016.
We started processing your application on September 27, 2016.
sponsored:
We received application for permanent residence on August 31, 2016.

I can see my sponsor's info now on eCAS as well.

Also got an email from MyCIC this morning saying my application had been updated. Sad thing is I can't see it - haven't been able to since last week. Hopefully that's going to be working soon as well?

Kinda hoping we'll see the SA email come through today or tomorrow... :)

Hey guys,

I received sponsor approval 2 days ago. We applied from Dubai and my husband is from Pakistan. CIC sent his visa application to London visa office Shocked and I am very confused here. I thought Abu Dhabi will be his visa office as we applied from UAE :(

Processing times are very different for Pakistan and UAE. Which one will apply on us?

I hope and pray that you and the rest of August applicants get their SAs by the tomorrow :)

In your sponsor letter, check to see why London visa office was chosen. If it is because of his nationality, I am afraid then you have to follow Pakistan's processing timelines >:(

This is from my letter:
"This visa office was selected based on your relative’s country of nationality and the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act."

Hey everyone, I have a question about ECAS. Have people been seeing the medical passed, before SA? or after SA? Also, will you only get an email saying file has been transferred (in the SA email) or will they also send another email to say it's actually gone, or update the online status to say it is gone? I know not every visa office does AOR2. It would just be nice to know when it actually gets there and is opened again, or to know it has actually left Canada at all. Thanks for any insights!

just got new update from CIC... they start processing my husband's file on 27th September :)
Is that AOR2?

I saw medical passed before SA.

Any idea if anyone got same update and what does it mean?
