Just like you, I really hope too that Manila visa office will process the papers fast as well.

Do you have an idea how long it usually takes for PA to get PPR once files are transferred?

Hi again Grizzlyman. I like Hangzhou! I managed to get through to CIC on the phone, but it was not helpful at all. Basically, I was told the 1-888 number for CIC doesn't answer any questions about in progress applications for outside of Canada applications. The only way I could contact Hong Kong Visa Office was through a Case Specific Enquiry. I guess I am just old fashioned (even though I am not that old!) and want to talk to someone on the phone to resolve things like this. Oh well, I tried. That is good to know what the clinic suggested, thanks for that. I do have a copy of the medical proof so perhaps I will just send that in with the updated forms.

Hey, comforting news... Late last night I found MYCIC had updated the medical report to "Passed", and I got an email this morning notifying me of the change. It was followed by two others from CIC in response to my case specific inquiry. In brief, one confirms that all my documents have been received, and the latter (from HK directly) tells me to disregard the request for a medical examination. I suppose in our case it was an accidental button pressing or something of the sort.

Anyways, that's cleared up... moving forward.

I am very happy praise to Allah. I can now check sponsors side ecas as well as PAs side. Yesterday i got email from mycic that my account is updated. But nothing is updated there same like previously medicals passed. But it is sponsor side ecas now i am able to check.

Me too Happy dance! Formal SA letter should come today I think.
When I check myCIC it now says "in progress" for the PA application.

Congrats to all.

I'm a bit sad, I think I'll be the last one to get his SA in the August group despite of my timeline. I've been told the Francophone department (Family class Processing Centre in Mississauga) has a backlog of at least two weeks, probably more. I filed my application in French - A huge mistake I've been told.

The update could be that they have changed the "A background check is needed" to "Not started" instead of "Not needed at this time".
