Luckily, Check application status gives us a glimpse of the processing however it is not that detailed. I give that to mycic or gcms notes for the detailed updates. They will eventually send you the SA email in our case my husband received SA vial mailbox. Are you waiting for your SA?

Yes I am so desperately waiting for SA as my case has proxy marriage issue and I am not sure what they'll decide though we have a daughter together. I read the thread discussing refused applications and It seems people get rejected on suspicion of misrepresentation though relationship seemed genuine to me >:( I m pretty sure I am overreacting......
I am physically in office but so distracted mentally lol :D :D

Well, do not worry about it as long as you have presented the genuinity of your case is well presented. Honestly, it is normal to feel paranoid but let us hope for the best do not think too much.

Hi Everyone,

is this right telephone number to call IRCC?
1-888-242-2100 or any other number to directly check our application outland-spouse

we will just phone them if no update yet in our application by end of this month.

thanks

Actually in my case, eCAS provides a very detail info on the application process. It tells me when the application was received, when AOR1 was sent, when SA was sent.

The number is absolutely correct. I spoke with agents on this number when I was in Canada. However, I tried calling it from Dubai and it doesn't go through. I guess it is for calling from inside Canada only.

I copied another number from a different thread. I gave that a try and it worked for me with a 001 country code. It says greeting from some global organization(sorry i didn't pay attention to the name :)) but if u keep on holding it will tell various option and you have to press the number for Citizenship and immigration Canada and select most suited option. I didn't have an application number when i called so i randomly pressed 4 and confirmed it, computer connected my call to the agent afterwards ;)

Try for yourself.....1-613-944-4000-best of luck

Thanks a lot, my husband who's in Canada will phone them.
What information do they need from us, do they need tracking # of our courier and who received it?

Thanks

Hey guys I have a question,
Do they go through your whole application beforehand to make sure there are no errors and then give you SA?or could you still get it shipped back to you after you receive SA, and it's been shipped to Ottawa for processing?

What confirms that you don't have any errors in your application? I want to be able to relax but I dunno.. I got SA and it went to Ottawa, but heard nothing from Ottawa yet.

23 days since application received by CIC, and still no AOR1 . But able to link with Mycic.
Hoping to receive SA within the week.

If it's been sent to Ottawa that means you passed the preliminary checks for documents and all appears to be well. Generally they'll send it back before SA if you're missing forms or forms are totally filled out incorrectly. Since it's been sent to Ottawa it will be put in process - look for a line saying, "began processing on DATE". They could still ask for additional documentation though, but it isn't a big deal - just part of the process. If you submitted the app with documents pending then they will ask for those. If everything was fine, all fees are paid (including RPRF), you should see quick processing.

GL!

Hi everyone!

I'm new here, and anxiously waiting like everyone here! :D I'm Canadian, sponsoring my Libyan Husband.

Here is my timeline:
App. Filed: August 3, 2016
Request for more info: August 31, 2016
Sponsorship Approval: September 19, 2016
File Transfer: September 19, 2016

Question... does anyone know the processing times for out-land spousal sponsorship for the PARIS VO?

Good luck to everyone's applications!

So, as of this morning ECAS is showing that they began processing PAs application Sept 15. Does anyone have any idea how long this leg of the race takes? I have already received AOR1 and SA approval already.

Hey everyone,

It seems that I finally got SA after nearly 46 days. While I didn't receive an email nor has ECAS updated, but my wife's MyCIC account's review of eligibility field changed from "Not Started" to "Review in Progress." It seems that others have indicated that this implies SA and that it's been sent to a VO for further processing.

US Outland has been going very quickly over the summer, but it seems to be slowing down after Labour Day. I've heard they use students as temp staff during the summer, so this would make sense. They've slowed after the students went back to their studies.

I've seen everything from 3-4 weeks, to 6+ months this year. If you've got an ordinary kind of application, all paperwork completed, medical done, and fees paid, it should be fairly quick. Maybe by US Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays?

Good Luck!
