Just wondering, are all of us who are still waiting for their SA, and who are getting late responses, have by chance something "special" in our applications, not necessarily "red flags", but an extra thing or two that require(s) additional period(s) of time for CIC to check/clarify before according SA?
For example, in my case (by the way, I'm Canadian, sponsoring my wife):
- I have children from previous relationships (and a divorce and a separation that involved [a long time ago] court battles about custody, child support, etc.)
- I had a business and I filed bankruptcy - I've been discharged [also a long time ago].
- I've been living outside Canada for over a decade now. Could that be a disadvantage? Maybe I wasn't convincing enough in my "Residency declaration" (intention to reside in Canada after the whole process is finished) even if I declared my family ties in Canada (including children), work experience, etc.
Maybe I'm becoming a paranoiac of some weird kind. But just for the sake of discussion / sharing / argumentation if you have few minutes to spare...
