We paid it all upfront so didn't get any payment requests, but I don't think you get that request unless your close to the end :)

Oh ok cool.. Thanks

Yay Congrats! We got our DM in ECAS Feb 29th, no COPR yet. Hoping for sometime this week. PEI tends to take almost 2 weeks to get any CIC snail mail.

Thanks! I landed yesterday after a weeks holiday :) The process was really simple, took about 15 min. It was 3am so no line up at immigration at the Edmonton airport! Happy to answer any questions if you have any :) Hope more DMs come in for everyone soon!

I have questions:

What sort of documents did the really require?

I am reading about landing in Canada and it seems I should bring a book of documents. I will be entering through the Sumas border, and hope car stuff isn't a problem, importing my financed car.

I found this: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/landing-in-canada-all-you-need-to-know-t36735.0.html and will be reading it over tonight. But what was your experience like?

Thanks in advance,

Baffled

PS. Still waiting for a decision. I sent them another email today to see if they have received my fingerprint check for Canada. No word yet of how things are going.

I just read this part...

How Much Funds Can I Carry?
There is no Max limit... we can take Millions, if we can prove its legitimate source & declare anything at/or more than $10,000 [that's the CBSA regulation]. There is a Minimum limit though... we must carry at least or more than what CIC requirement states, vis-a-vis for the no. of pax in the family [accompanying].

My concern is the "minimum" portion of the comment. I have not been able to work, so, no funds at all, 0, zilch, nothing. What do I do here? Go to the states and work til I have the needed funds? I don't want to pull a loan, so what to do, what to do?

All I had when I landed was my COPR and passport. I think as its a family class application all you need is your COPR and the B4 form which you list all of the stuff you are importing.

Its a really easy and painless process, they asked a few questions like have I been convicted of any crimes? Has my family situation changed? Then I had to initial the responses on the COPR and sign. I was also asked about bringing in cash over $10,000 and if I had any goods to follow. I sold most of my stuff (furniture, electrical goods etc) a few years back so the stuff I plan on bringing over from Aus is pretty limited so I didn't declare any goods to follow.

I was never questioned about minimum funds (I too would not have met the amount). I don't think its a requirement as your sponsor signed an agreement that they will financially support you for three years. I'm sure what you read must have been referring to an economic stream of PR.

As an Aussie I'm really not sure about the car but I know I've read a few threads about it. I think its dependent on the finance company if you can import it or not, some allow it but others don't.

Hope you hear back from them soon :)

Awesome thanks for the quick response. No DM yet or CoPR but hoping to hear back soon.

Still no COPR, of will be two weeks since DM on Monday. We got an email for photos March 10th, but they received photos Feb 10th from us with the new sizes. So we are insanely puzzled. I should add, my husband called to book his landing appointment and was tolschis COPR was good until August 28th, the CIC center who conformed the appointment told us the same thing (and asked for him to bring photos to the appoinent) That will make five sets of photos that we've given them haha. I sent a case enquiry about if the COPR has been sent, and for clarification on the photos.
