Today we received a letter from CIC stating we over paid the fees due, apparently we paid $1100 and not $1040 so they are giving us a $60 check. I'm hoping this means my application is actually being processed and not just sitting in a pile somewhere :D

Maybe that's a good tactic for future applications if they don't want to go months at a time without any news!

Haha! Maybe or they are thinking we are idiots and put my app at the bottom of the pile for not adding correctly!

Hi Baffled - Looks like I am about a week behind you but I am IP as well. Was hoping for a DM by year end but I think that is unlikely. I had to go through the QSC process as well so I'm not sure if that slowed me down or not. I kind of think not since it doesn't appear that anything happened to my file from IP (October 7, 2015) to today... Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey nyctomtl. I was asked to apply for the CSQ, and i see that it only took about 3 weeks for you to get your csq. I hope that I receive mine soon too. I sent it on thr 2nd of december.

I wanted to know did you send a copy of the csq to your visa office as well?

Hi Zaino - Yes the CSQ process was relatively painless. I think they have a commitment to turn around applications in 20 business days or something like that. I ended up NOT sending my CSQ to the VO (Ottawa in my case), although I did a lot of research on the topic. Some said send it to just be safe. Others said if they don't ask, don't send so as not to confuse.... My instinct was to send it (scanned copy via email) but like I said, in the end I did not. I did, however, order my GCMS case notes the other day... I'm hoping to see in those notes whether Ottawa acknowledged receipt of the CSQ... Let me know if you learn anything definitive on the topic.

On Dec 8th, the Ankara visa office issued my wife's Canadian visa and she just received it today. We quickly looked through the documents and thankfully everything checked out. :D
The entire process from start (Aug 14, 2015) to finish (Dec 8, 2015) took 116 days.
It happened so fast that we were caught completely off-guard; At this moment, neither of us is prepared so she wont be joining me until February. lol
I'll be sure to post an update in a couple of months.

Best of luck to everyone and I hope that you all get to be with your loved ones in the very near future.

Congratulations! :)
Did your ECAS change to DM or anything else after "in Process", or you just got mail from VO when time came?

Thanks you guys! :)
Ecas still says 'In Process' under Sponsorship (3 lines) and 'Decision Made' under PR (3 lines). It hasn't been updated yet.
My wife received an email in mid November saying that we had until Dec 19th to hand over her passport at the visa office in Ankara. We re-acted right away and three weeks later, they issued the visa.
