No. My application arrived the same day as yours and I got no Sponsorship Approval yet.... I called CIC and I got not useful response.

Hahahah "Hi Baffled". I am exactly the same. As soon as I get to work, that is the first thing I do in the mornings (even though logically I know there won't be anything new there). These forums are my only distraction.

FYI should add - because of Passport Request, we ended up buying my husband a ticket to Lima, Peru so he can deliver his passport and wait for the visa. We are hopeful it will take 2 weeks at the most to get the stamp in his passport, and he will come back as a landed immigrant. Crossing fingers!

Sydney have had my application for 4 weeks today, trying not to think about it but failing miserably haha I too check ECAS too much. Trying to limit myself down to once a day, not that successfully I should add :

Hang in there! Does it say if they've started processing it in Ecas? If so, it's probably fairly close as well. Good luck!

Yeah it says they started processing it on the 6th of Oct, there have been a few Sydney people lately getting passport copy and photo requests after about a month. So it could be soon... My visa is good until 2017, but I have travel insurance due in Jan (visa condition ) that I don't want to renew haha so fingers crossed I can land before then and save some money!

I've never heard that? I was told just FBI report and that's what I sent. Did Ottawa request a state report?

No. I was at Starbucks and talking to a guy, who will remain nameless, and he was told by Ottawa he needed a state police report also on top of the FBI report.

Hopefully Mr. Nameless is wrong! Geez it took me so long to get my FBI report, how long would my state of MN take to get that done. I have never heard it mentioned on any other place in this forum so hopefully it's not true.
