hello! my application is 5 months now, still no update.

I received a notice to send in some paper work to complete my file. On it they advised to send it to "the address below". The address below was an email address. Has anyone else experienced this? and if so I assume that sending it to the email address is the correct step to take?

I think so. I received an email from Ottawa asking for info. It said please send the info to the EMAIL address below (so slightly different than your situation). So I did and immediately got an auto-acknowledgement. Two days later I got an email (from a person I think) saying that the info I provided had been added to my file and that nothing more was needed at this time. I'd recommend sending via email....

August seems to be slow in getting PPR or DM lately? Wonder what's up with CIC lately? Haven't heard a word since my file was transferred and they started processing (?) Nov 6, 2015. My VO is Ottawa and we started this whole thing Aug 27, 2015. I called CIC to ask if they had started on my background and the guy i spoke to wouldn't answer me or even ask for my file number to check. This is so frustrating. Hopefully we all start hearing something soon. Good luck to all and let's try to stay positive.

I think Ottawa is very slow as they process a lot of apps. Hopefully us August people will get some more DM's soon.

I was in Mexico on vacay and has not checked ECAS for a week, logged in today and finally they had updated my info to my married name. I had sent in my new passport and FBI check after we received AOR in September. I was starting to think they lost the updated info and my FBI check.

I know it wasn't DM but I was just happy to see some movement on my file, maybe it means someone is actually looking at it!

It certainly makes me feel better to know they've at least looked at someone's file from August. I know that we need patience while we wait for this b/c it really can be a long wait. I've decided the best way to deal with this is to accept that we may not hear anything until August of this year. The positive is that we can save up more money to move and it gives me more time to go through our stuff and minimize during the wait. Gotta find that positive somewhere!!! Good luck again to ev1 and hopefully we'll hear good news soon.

We ended up calling just to check and they said it was fine. Hopefully it means things are starting to move along than.

2 We started processing your application on October 1, 2015.

3 Medical results have been received.

4 We sent you correspondence on January 4, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Sent the form on the 29th of Jan. They should have it by now. We'll see what happens next.

Hi guys,
I finally saw "decision made" online few days ago but have not received any letter or email from CIC London yet. I contacted my mp and asked him to contact CIC to get an update. Mp called CIC and he was told that yes case is closed and we will send him a letter but did not give him any information about my case. My mp specifically ask is there a bad or good news and CIC agent said we can not tell you anything just wait for letter?
I am sponsoring my wife and daughter from uk. Does anyone know why CIC denied giving update to MP?

Can anyone advise how I would go about ordering notes? I keep seeing people mention they order notes on their file. Is it worth it? Cause most people it seems like they don't get anything back from it.
