I know exactly what your talking about Tollah.
My wife and I live in the Netherlands and want to move in August. I really hope I have some positive news by then, but the waiting is getting harder everyday.
I've send in additional documents back in May 25 via email. Still nothing!
What did CIC requested from you guys?
Wish you the best!

Hi Mulez,

CIC requested our Declaration of Common Law Union (which the guidelines say you only need if you are using a representative which we aren't) and my fiancee's intention to move back to Canada (which considering she has already been approved as a sponsor also seems a but strange) we sent them back within two weeks. Feels good to know someone is in a similar situation though I wish we both had DM or at least IP already. Thinking positive thoughts for some good news for you and your wife soon :)

Received my CPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) in my mailbox today :-)

I read the instructions to become a PR and not entirely clear on the next steps. Can anyone help?

So I can try to book an appointment at a CIC office (I tried calling but is this next step a "getting a PR card"?).
I have a British passport so I don't need to send my passport in. Or do most people just flagpole and get their PR at a border? (I'm close to US border).

Also, do I then have to apply for an actual PR card?

**confused**

Warm wishes to everyone here who is waiting.

Congratulations bbcj! I think you can just flagpole, after you've land, apply for a PR card.

Hello everyone,

Posting in this thread after a long time.
I landed today at Rainbow bridge. It was a smooth process. :)

Updated my timeline in spreadsheet.

Below thread was so useful in preparing the B4 forms

Maria, I have a question, did you send the requested documents via email?

I see some people from the Ottawa VO with received date December and January getting DM.
It doesn't make any sense to me. What are they doing?

I really hope we all here soon. I can't think of anything else anymore.

Just saw this Mulez sorry I have not been on here much recently .I sent the documents via mail and email at the same time. I figured I might as well try both methods and see what happens. As of today the FBI clearance and marriage certificate are attached (Finally). Now we are waiting on the relationship proof to be attached. Monday I received an email that said the file I sent was too large and It had to b 5MB and under. I split my proof file into 3 files and sent it again via email. Thankfully I had already sent the proof via regular mail (they received it June 1st). Therefore I am just waiting now. I hope it doesn't take another 3 weeks to attach the proof. We are tired of this back and forth with Ottawa. All over a mistake they made.

CONGRATULATIONS! Yes I am screaming it because after this process and the long wait you deserve it!

Quick question, did they request any more information from you? I only ask because our apps have the similar timeline & I was requested information. Just checking to see if maybe I am possibly somewhere in the line.. Another congrats to you! :)

Thanks MsBigShot! :D

No they didn't request more information. They had asked me for a new medical exam and also more evidence to cover the 1 year of my common-law cohabitation. I got an email notification as soon as they had received my medical exam (as soon as it was uploaded by the doctor). After that, I received no notification and assume it just goes in the pile again. And the next notification was a letter in the mailbox. I think you'll get yours in the next weeks. :-)

Shall check back to hear your good news!

Congratulations! We are very happy to see August applicants receiving DMs.

Are there any Ottawa applicants still waiting? I see September AND October applicants receiving their DM's and we are still waiting!

I asked for my notes back in April and received an email almost 30 days later asking for a copy of my spouse's ID with his signature. Still have not received the notes.

It's so frustrating I could almost cry. Our application was very straightforward. We have a 9 month old baby and we just need to be able to get on with our lives.

I am so sorry you are still waiting. Ottawa is a total mess right now.

I feel your pain :( our application is August and we've heard nothing since their documents request in April. We've asked for notes and contacted our MP still nothing!

Maria, have you received DM? (I see by your post if I'm reading correctly, I haven't been on here in forever it seems.)

This is getting carried away, were almost into July & it's been ALMOST 11 months. Why the hell are August applications getting skipped??!
So tired of waiting...
