Good news everyone! Checked ECAS today and it FINALLY changed......I was expecting to see "in process" but it skipped that update and went straight to DM! They started processing my application April 16th, 2015. Things are moving! Good luck August applicants! ;D

Congrats! :D

Add another one to the processed Ottawa applicants
App. Received August 21, 2014
SA October 2, 2014
In Process April 16, 2015 (ECAS updated April 21, 2015)
Decision Made April 24, 2015 (Called in to confirm, they say should be in the mail in the next couple days)

I see there are a few more Ottawa applicants left to go in the spreadsheet. Good luck, things are moving!

Congratulations to all those who received DM!
I've checked this morning and still nothing.. I obviously know their working on it and it's in process if they've sent me an email asking for our marriage certificate....
Hope to hear the rest of us hear something! :)

Hi Everyone,

We were asked to send additional documents : Declaration of Common Law and Proof of spouse's intention to re-establish in Canada.

We are with Ottawa VO. I heard some VOs ask for this while others don't.

Was anyone else asked to do so ? How long do you think this can set us back ? We sent them to them 2 weeks ago.

I guess the good news is that they are working on our application :-)

Cheers

My SO got his letter in the mail today! That was fast!
Approved!
What a relief. I can't believe we made it through this!

Congratulations to the DMers! Very happy for all of you.
Thanks everyone for sharing the news and the ongoing support. Your messages here has made this journey so much more bearable!

My husband and I are through Ottawa VO as well. They asked for our marriage certificate (even though it was sent it originally) & documents stating my husband is residing and intends to reside in Canada. About 4 or 5 days later I got an email asking for a verified address (were in a rural area and have a PO box), they sent two copies of our marriage cert back I'm assuming they found the other one and haven't heard a word since, that was about two weeks ago..It happens, I doubt it'll put you back time wise as long as documents are true and plenty. :)

We got passport request yesterday and what looks to be conditional CoPR. My partner received TRV last week so will travel to Canada and then we will submit passport to Ottawa. Here's the wording:

We are pleased to inform you that your Visa and/or Confirmation of Permanent Residence to Canada (COPR) is ready to be issued, conditional to a final admissibility review by an immigration officer. In order to complete the process please reply to this email ASAP and submit the document/s requested (see attached file):
NOTE: Your Visa and/or Confirmation of Permanent Residence to Canada (COPR) will be valid for your initial entry to Canada until 07/31/2015 (mm/dd/yyyy).
1. You must be able to schedule your Permanent Resident Landing in Canada before July 31, 2015. (YES or NO)
2. Please provide your updated contact information and complete mailing address where your visa package may be sent via courier.

Looks promising. Best of all, my partner can rejoin me in Canada (we've only been apart a week since November after our first TRV was approved) while we wait for final decision and hopefully her visa.
