Well, We got "Decision Made" update on ECAS. But still have not heard from them. If we have been corresponding by email, will they email us regarding the decision, or should we expect a mailed notice? We had contemplated calling and asking about a refund this week, so this is great news!! Hopefully everyone else in Ottawa CPC will start hearing the same soon.

We got good news , visa package will be sent shortly , everything in finalized and we have a visa validity date until mid October . I expect my wife will have visa package late this week or early next week. Our ecas still says application recieved lol. Good luck to all , and don't be affraid to get your local government involved if the application drags on....

ECAS finally updated to Decision Made. They added one extra line to say that they began processing the application on March 18...same day as the date they made the decision! So they can actually process an application very quickly LOL ;D

Just kidding...but it does make you question the usefulness of the ECAS website in giving people valid and accurate information. Why put money into something that is inaccurate at best? I suppose it at least lets people know that their applications have been received.

OMG what good news. im so happy and jealous atbthe same time hahaha. when was your medical? so they can actually extend medical validity. did they sent you an email? my ecas still shows application and medical received so i still have hope.

Wondering if anyone has had any experience with changing their address in Canada for the application. My fiance and I had to move unexpectedly (I am here just as visitor waiting for the application to come through). We applied with CIC to change the address on their end, and it said it could take a couple of weeks. We also did the mail forwarding with Candada Post. But now I am reading from their website that some letter from Government offices cannot be forwarded. Does anyone have experience with this and know if CIC mail CAN be forwarded?

My fiance and I had to move unexpectedly (I am here just as visitor waiting for the application to come through). We applied with CIC to change the address on their end, and it said it could take a couple of weeks. We also did the mail forwarding with Candada Post. I don't think they will be mailing very much. More than likely you will get email notification first. Since you uploaded your new address, it is very likely there...but they give themselves a "cushion" of time to tell you that they will update it. Address changes I'm sure get higher priority as they won't want to send stuff to the wrong place...hence the reason for the special process to make changes.

Our medical was done July 16,2014,not yet expired.about medical validity,it depends on the visa officer if they ask you to do remedical again or not ,so just wait until they message you about it..online status is not accurate,because we don't have changes on online except the current and present address,so I suggest you to don't rely so much on ecas cause it's frustrating...hoping for the best of your application and so to others ..when will your medical expires?
