CIC received my updated forms on September 17th, original application filed and received JULY 31.
I have not heard anything yet, hopefully soon

I just got my SA approved this morning!! I got new form request in the early of September! it took 2 months to get first stage approved!

Many of us September applicants look at the "August Outland" status daily! You give us hope lol. CONGRATS to those of you who received SA you must be so happy!!

I have a doubt and maybe someone here can help me.

I'm waiting my PR in Canada, altough I applied outland. I had a work visa that just expired, but I already got a visitor record (visitor permit), that let me stay and wait here for a year. The problem is, a visitor record is not a visitor visa and doesn't let me get in and out of the country. So I can stay but if I leave, I can't come back.

But I really want to spend xmas with my family in Brazil and I can't figure out if I'm allowed to request a visit visa from Canada.

Does anyone have a clue? Thank you in advance!

Congratulations to all who got SA! I am an August applicant but I have been monitoring the July outland applicants also. I see that the July applicants who were requested to submit the August IMM 1344 form, mostly have not got SA yet, so I am assuming that it may mean still longer waiting for us (We were requested the August form).

The only option for you is to apply for a visitor Visa from Brazil, once you're there. However, the fact that you already hold a visitor record is in your favour. You'll have to apply for the Visa the same way you applied for the visitor record, but because they already granted it to you once (and for a whole year) they're unlikely to refuse the Visa.

Has anyone been able to speak to an agent at CIC recently? Every time I try calling, the message says "We are experiencing a high volume of call... etc", I get music for half a second and then get disconnected!

I've been trying through the "French" option, might try in English...

You have to keep trying, CIC changed there automated phone service. I just keep calling back until I am put through.

On the off chance... did you ever happen to memorize what options you're choosing to most efficiently speak to an agent? I've still not mastered their new system and always go round and round before I can even attempt to be transferred...

I think it was 3 3 0, after her spill about the new changes press 3, after you hear "A visitor" press 3 again when the start talking again press 0.

Have yet to hear anything about SA... Sent our app in August 25th. Hoping we didn't mess anything up! So anxious and nervous. Seems like everyone is getting SA except for us.
