Apparently, not sending AORs is a new thing. Some individuals still receive them but not all. Why it's like that would just be a guess on our part. At this point in time, there is no way for us to know if our application is being processed. I have read in some threads that if your application falls outside the timeline posted on the website, they will just tell you that they are still processing applications prior to your submission and they will have no updates with regards to your submission.

Oh okay. Seems odd if they stopped sending it.. Surely they get more emails and calls from crazy worried applicants now!

Thanks for your reply, dt-tdot :)

If you are living in Trinidad and have no status in Canada then you will fill out the outland application. This will be done in 3 parts. First your sponsor will have to fill out the sponsor portion of the application. Second, you will fill out the sponsored person part of the application. Third is all of the supporting documents that you will need (photos, e-mails etc.) You will send your part to your wife and she will send the COMPLETE application to Mississauga, Ontario. Now in form IMM0008ENU_2D you will fill out in Question 4 for the visa office requested (Port of Spain). What will happen is when your wife sends the application to Mississauga the officer there will check her part to see if she qualifies as a sponsor. If so they ywill then send the application to Port of Spain to review the rest of the application and make a decision.

My husband just left for UPS right now! We already had to re-open our package because I photocopied my employment contract instead of including the original! Feeling so nervous!!

We are applying from Korea, so our application goes through Manila. Anyone else with a Manila-bound application?

For those who submitted your application package early August, did you submit the updated IMM1344 form?

I filled my IMM1344 form on August 2 at a cyber cafe so I could print the barcodes. I assume that the form was the updated version but I don't remember. I have heard though that they usually give a grace period when they update the forms but I'm not sure how much time they give for the grace period.

We submitted August 20th and received on the 21st via UPS!!

I heard about their grace period too. However, I have heard some officers are quite particular. I was just wondering.

Good news is that my SA took less time than posted (44 vs 56). Just praying that Ottawa goes as quick!

안녕하세요? We are going to apply from Korea at the end of Aug. Hope we can keep in touch.

We are planning to go to Canada on Sep.2014. I will find a job and she is going to support me(cooking, preparing for interviews, etc.) My wife is holding Korean passport which allows her to stay up to 180 days in Canada. And then we try to extend this visa until she get her PR. Does anyone have informations about how to extend the visa during Sep.2014~Dec.2015(estimated)? I need her support and her accompany with me in Canada.

That's awesome =) Yes, we should definitely stay in touch! We are planning on staying in Korea until the process is over. I just started a one-year teaching contract in Busan. My husband actually lived in Canada with me for 3 years before we came back to Korea to begin the permanent residence process. But after reading all the posts from people who are going back to Canada, our plan might change.....
