I sent out my package to CIC on Augest 2, at that time, they did not update new forms on their website yet, do I need to send out my new forms to them? or just wait till they notify me?

Wait to be notified. They won't be able to match up the new form it's your file until they actually open it and organize it.

Just got an email from CIC this morning regarding changing IMM1344 to IMM1344 2014.8 version. I only got this request to update my form. However, when I look at CIC website, it showed IMM5490 Sponsored questionnaire has changed to 2014,08 version. Should I attach new forms to them? or just send what they have requested from me in email?

IMM5490 should be August 2013, so you should be fine. Just update IMM1344.

The only other August 2014 form is IMM0008DEP.

I think the consensus is to wait until it is requested for you to send new form. But it is your choice...

wait till they notice you because I received email from CIC this morning, and they wanted me to send out new IMM1344 Form with their attached letter to a specific PO Box address!!

Just a heads up guys, my sponsor received email from CIC-M it attached a legal document, stating all sponsorship filled after Augst 1st need to include IMM0008(06-2014), IMM1344(08-2014), IMM5669(12-2012)...sorry i dont know how to upload screenshot. Anyway just want you guys know the info.
Our application was signed on Aug 6th need to re-send new 1344.

Dear Sponsor,
This letter refers to the application to sponsor a member of the family class which you submitted to this office. We are returning your unprocessed application as we cannot process it as submitted.
Regulation 10(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations states that an application must be submitted using the forms as provided by the Department. Only applications meeting R10 will be placed in queue for processing.

Your application is being returned to you, unprocessed, for the following reason:

As per Citizenship and Immigration Canada guidelines, Operational Bulletins 325B (February 6, 2012) and 326 (July 18, 2011), applications received after March 31, 2012 must include the following forms:

• Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM1344 02/2012 or later);
• Generic Application form for Canada (IMM0008 02/2012 or later); and
• Schedule A (IMM5669 07-2011 or later) – as opposed to IMM008 Schedule 1 (if applicable)


Older versions of these forms are no longer accepted. To determine whether you have the current forms, please look for the IMM form number and issue date at the bottom left hand corner of the first page of each form (pictured below).

but - on the first letter indicates IMM0008 02/2012 or later-


and .I've re-checked my - IMM0008 dated 11-2013.

or just fill-out and send the UPDATED IMM1344 8-2014 as requested on my 2nd letter?

Thanks, i guess i will wait for now... funny thing is i actually downloaded new forms, compared it with old ones... and when i didn't see any difference, i just submitted it.

now i regret it. i wish i had joined this forum few weeks ago.

My husband and I received similar letter. in our case IMM1344 and IMM0008 they all requested most recent ones(08-2014, 06-2014). If you dont mind, would you like to share what date CIC signed ur application?

I send out my application on Aug 27 and they received it on Aug 29. Please Let me know what was your timeline.

Did you get one or two letters like bornil? Just wanted to make sure they don't actually send back the application package as they state in the first letter, but rather hold it as they state in the second letter.

Would you be able to add your name to the speadsheet so we don't keep asking when you sent your application? Thanks very much!

It seems like they are asking for updated forms from August applicants.

Mine was received on August 6th but I haven't heard from them. I can't remember if I used the updated form. I filled the imm1344 at a cyber on the 2nd of August but I don't know what day they updated the forms. So either it's ok or maybe they have lost it lol. Good luck everyone

I think that letter is a standard request letter, the officer actually highlighted the IMM1344 line on ours. The second letter specified that it was only that form that they are requesting.
