AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

I'm feeling really annoyed with myself right now. I already didn't send in the new Sponsorship App from August (the updated form has been sent with the request), but I decided to look at when I filled out the Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008] and it's also outdated because I filled it out in Nov 2013. So now, there will be even more of a delay.

I hope they will send you another email request for the IMM 0008(June 2014). We are also waiting for our email, submitted August 19, received August 21.

Hi,

If you already got a request for one form and they didn't ask for IMM 0008, chances are they were ok with it. so don't worry. Lets keep fingers crossed. Hopefully your file is already being processed for SA.

i am still waiting for response from CIC. Hopefully i get ASAP. i dont want to delay my application.

Its bad enough not knowing when CIC gets your papers, but I sent the new August updated form last week with Xpress Post and the tacking number still shows it out for delivery!!! It was to be there the next day. Canada post is investigating so I don't know what to do...send another one, or wait for Canada Post?? I can't even verify with CIC if they got the new form and I don't want my 45 days to run out before I find out if they actually did receive my new form!! Ugh. Just when you think nothing can go wrong... Imagine sending your package regular mail...you would never know if they receive it or not if they don't bother to give you an AOR.

Bad luck for you. Usually canada post deliver in 1-2 days. i actually send out my package via regular mail and in 2 days, they received it.
It seems like some one messed it up during delivery. Just check with Canada Post. The status should change to "Delivered".

Yes i agree too. If they didnt request it first place, that mean they are ok with it.

I thought they would only go through the sponsor portion first, then the applicant's papers would be processed after the transfer.
I hope you're right though, thank you.

They check over the whole application to be sure its complete and everything is signed that is required and it is up to the reviewing officer if you will be requested for updated forms or not.

I have terrific news though! We just got SA yesterday! Our application was delivered on August 7th. I'm surprised at how fast this was!
My application is on its way to Ottawa.

That's awesome news! I'm assuming it's because a lot of the applications before yours was required to resubmit updated August 2014 forms. Congratulations!

I actually had to send in the updated form as well (it was delivered 9/9). I'm surprised they picked up our application again so promptly.

how come there is no update in excel sheet after September 10, 2014 ??
it seems like CIC has slowed down its process.
