Well here we go. Finally our time, for all those August 2014 application submitters! Let's kick this off.

Date mailed - August 1, 2014
Residency days: 1103

My PR details are on the left side and I'll be updating my citizenship details below in the signature.

Hopefully I can get lucky for citizenship like I did with my PR, i.e. processed in 3 months. By the looks of it, may just happen :) Fingers crossed --> http://news.gc.ca/web/article-en.do?nid=872659

Sound off in the comments below everyone! And good luck to all!

I sent my application on July 5 & it still shows as "In Transit" on Canada Post website... I called Canada Post & I was told "it was not scanned, but it may have been delivered"... CIC said, "call us in 3 months so that we can tell you if we received it or not."
??? >:( :(

You sent in August 5?? :o

It's only August 1 right now!

How about you? You landed on 10-JAN-2012, therefore, your application due date should be in 2015? Pls. explain.

I came to Canada in 2006 as a student and became a PR in Jan 2012. So I was able to count 2 years as non-PR towards 1 year of my required residency for citizenship.

Hi Ottawaresident,
Quick question for you, I'm in the same boat as you (Came to Canada as a student in 2007 and received my PR in March 2012 )and sent my application on the 26th of July, however i just noticed that my IM5292 form is missing the original date of entry (36). Is yours blank as well?

Yup, mine is blank too (box 36). Not to worry though. I had ordered my CBSA report and it stated my original entry date of 2006. Plus they have my study permits etc on file, so I'm sure all will be well.

Thanks for the info!

About 4 months after I came to Canada to stay, I went to cancel my employment visa in UAE. I actually went there for a social event but took the opportunity to cancel the visa. In the Residence Calculator I just mentioned that I went for Family Visit. The visa cancellation doesn't mention the cancellation date. Do you think I should have mentioned that I canceled employment visa that time? I was actually in Canada and not working for my employer at that point. Any thoughts?
