Same here last week of april my ecas added medicals received. Please Lord give us our PPR's

For those who had to send in more proof of whatever it may be, how long after CiC receiving it did they actually look at it? I understand the whole forwarding date thing, but in reality when did they get around to it? It's been a few days over their "30 days" mark and I am curious if bugging them is good or bad? The saying goes, 'squeaky wheel gets the oil' but I also am terrified if pissing off the case officer. So, how long should I wait to ask if any progress has been made?

It was right at the 60 day mark that CIC revisited our application and we had a decision a couple days later. I was also afraid to email the CIC in case we pissed someone off and they threw our app at the bottom of a pile. But apparently that didn't happen as I had writen them a couple times with inquiries, sometimes I got a response, others times it was crickets.

My medical didn't expire until August so that may have allowed our app to sit and collect dust for a little while.

I would really like to know how CEM sends out PPR's, they seem to have skipped most of August applicants and moved on to September. Maybe they just draw straws or flip a coin. Makes no sense, I thought app would be processed in order of receipt. Apparently not.

even if you have the PPR the deal is when will you get the visa...just what happen to May, june and July...

Thanks, just seems like an inefficient system to be bouncing around on different months.
I know some PPR's come very late in process, others early.

I caved! I emailed them just now, hopefully they will respond before the weekend. I hope it wasn't too outrageous. I emphasized that my husband will have limited contact w me starting next week an we would like to know before this happens. Hope nothing bad comes from this! Here's what I wrote....


"I am writing to request an update on my application and the documents providing proof of my intent. As written in the documents my husband,****, who is a member of the Canadian Armed Forces will be sent to **** for a military contract next week. We would like to have an update before he leaves for **** since then we will have limited contact based on his schedule. We have been optimistic that we will be reunited soon, upon approval of my PR status. With **** in the Canadian Military, he makes great sacrifices for his country and we understand that we may spend time apart (reluctantly) but we only wish to be granted the opportunity to live together as husband and wife. We hope to hear back soon.
