We'll we got married in August 2013 and my wife got her PR on 5 th of February 2014. No common children.. I know we r under the conditional pr thing but I want to know are we suppose to have and temporary pr card or something so we can go to school and work
This should answer some of your questions.
I’m a new permanent resident of Canada. Do I need to apply for a PR card?
No, we will mail your permanent resident card (PR card) to you when you arrive in Canada.
However, if you did not provide your Canadian mailing address when you became a permanent resident, you have to send us your Canadian address using our online tool within 180 days of the day you become a permanent resident.
If you did not provide your Canadian mailing address when you became a permanent resident and you do not send us your address within 180 days, the PR card will be cancelled and you will have to apply for one.
You will get your card within four to six weeks of becoming a permanent resident if you provided your mailing address when you became a permanent resident, or within four to six weeks of us getting your address if you provided an address using our online tool.
If you did not get your PR card within six weeks of giving us your Canadian address, please tell us that you did not get your PR card.
