Thanks sicilian85!
Anyone who can confirm this?

Yes, changing the civil status from single to married IS NOT mandatory. As long as you provided your marriage certificate as a proof that you are the spouse of each other in the application, it's OK. CIC and the Visa Office understands it's not easy to do the paperworks for changing the civil status and updating into married suname. And it's always the wife's choice to use the married surname or not ahehe. ;) ;) ;)

In my case however, I opted to change into my married surname already before I submitted the application and updated my civil status and other civil documents so that I wouldn't need to change it in the future. And that when the time comes for me to apply for my SIN card and citizenship, there we be lesser headaches for me.

;) ;) ;)

I still havent heard anything about either AOR, or SA or any other type of acknowledgement that my application is being looked at or considered.

Its sort of frustrating and I am actually starting to get worried.

Does this mean anything-- my ecas status updated to "Medical results have been received."?

I received AOR and SA but my ecas still how's just application received

Yes dear. I already put Toronto on your stats on the sheet. :)

^_^

Sis thank you so much for everything, you're doing a great job in our thread and spreadsheet. I just can't do it full time now that my husband is here for a month. We need to make up for all the time we're apart since our wedding. He got cough and colds too maybe because of the damp climate here plus the pollutants. I don't worry a lot because I'm here to take care of him. I always have my fears when he's alone in our home in Canada. Although he has his children visiting him always, still I would want to personally help him in everything...I hope the CEM will be very considerate to us because the pain of being away from your loved ones is not only very depressing but it's kind a crazy long time of waiting...

Still keeping our fingers crossed and patiently waiting for God's mercy and love... :) ;D :)

Congrats to everyone with AOR and SA...For those who are still waiting...
let's not stop praying for all the best because when we pray, God definitely works in amazing ways for us..:)

God bless everyone...

Hello all, I also Submitted my application in august, below is the timeline (Sponsoring my Wife in New Delhi India)

Received by CIC :- 8th Aug 2013

Then i received the letter from CIC on 4th Sep that "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing."

Just wanted to know , does that mean my application is complete without any error?
Also wanted to know whats AOR and SA?
Does that mean my file is should be in Delhi now ? and next step is when they send a email to my wife asking for her passport?

Also if someone can add me to this thread,
Thanks

Yup, it means they have a complete application.

It means that the application is complete. AOR means it's conformation that your application was received by CIC at Mississauga and SA means sponsorship approval.. Good luck.
