I have two minor corrections. My sponsorship was actually approved on September 4. I just didn't find out about it until yesterday because they sent the notice by snail mail rather than email. Also, I originally said my Visa office would be Detroit because it was listed on the form where we indicated our preference for an interview location. The correct Visa office is Ottawa.

Also....am I missing something?? ExiledCanadian's application AOR and sponsorship was approved on the 8th........ my app was received the same day and I havent gotten a single word about it


How can we check our App status? The site says you can ..but there is not opion for family class. When I select simplified (only other one that qualifies kinda...) and I enter in our receipt number and info it says it can not be found. Am I not on the right site? Any tips would help! Thanks

I select the option for checking my sponsorship application, then use the UCI number that came with my AOR as the identification number to log in. I'm not sure if there is any way to check your status if you haven't received the AOR with your UCI and Application numbers though.

I have a quick clarification to make, has any one (Sponsor) got DM after their file being transferred to respective VISA offices. I checked my status with client id (Sponsor) and got DM. also i received an email on 6th of sept that my file has been transferred to New Delhi VISA office..

i have a question i checked my ecas and i have these 2 status

for myself as the sponsor (Sponsorship Application Status) Decision made
this is expected because i received the SA email from them last week.

however i can see the below for my wife status
PR Application status - Application Received

when i clicked in the link i can see that it says
xxx application has been received on Aug 12,2013
medical results have been received

does that mean they have already start processing the file or it is just sitting there ?

its good that they have updated medicals received. not sure if that depends on visa office ? just curious, does anyone's status got updated ?

No your files are not in process yet.
The e-cas is simply showing that they have received your spouse's apps as well including her medicals. (This is in Mississauga)
They will eventually send off her apps tho your VO and when you login with her application number it will show "In Process"
