Yeah, I got my AOR via email, so it was weird that I didn't get an email for my SA. BUT ... there was a letter waiting for me when I got home from work. APPROVED! Yay!

Thanks for the words of encouragement though. I was feeling a bit down earlier and now I'm on top of the world. ;D

Is anyone else worried about the strike they posted an alert about on the site? I'm terrified that my medical will run out way before I am approved

Also....am I missing something?? ExiledCanadian's application AOR and sponsorship was approved on the 8th........ my app was received the same day and I havent gotten a single word about it


How can we check our App status? The site says you can ..but there is not opion for family class. When I select simplified (only other one that qualifies kinda...) and I enter in our receipt number and info it says it can not be found. Am I not on the right site? Any tips would help! Thanks

Ok so I ve had our application filed on 22nd. I still have no e-cas, no AOR or SA...do i have reason to be concerned?

hi there, i dont think your missing something. just wait. i cannot also check our status, the site says maybe our application is not yet in process though they do not deny the fact of receiving the same . one August applicant got SA after 19 days. exiledcanada got SA on his 11th day.cheer up.

my concerned is, how long does it usually take to receive an AOR from email?
also, my husband send our papers via UPS @ 2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 300 Mississauga, ON L4Z 1H8, wat we're worrying about if we sent our application in the right address or should it be sent to the PO Box instead?
i am sponsoring by my husband who's now PR in Canada
hope some1 can lend their time to answer... THANKSALOT ^_^

Hi ranzar! Welcome to the thread! You've been added to the spreadsheet already. Can you please specify the date of medicals of your husband and where is he bound to in Canada? Thanks!!

About your question, you should be receiving your AOR thru email if you were able to provide your email address on your form. However, if you missed your email address on the form, they will send the AOR and the SA to you through regular mail which will take additional days for delivery.

By the way, I am also applying for PR under Manila VO.

AORs are usually given in 1-2 weeks from the date they received it in CPC-M and is usually sent thru the sponsor's email.

You sent your applications via courier through UPS at Robert Speck Parkway,Suite 300 Mississauga, ON L4Z 1H8 ? Couriers don't deliver on PO box addresses so you did the right thing.

for myself as the sponsor (Sponsorship Application Status) Decision made
this is expected because i received the SA email from them last week.

however i can see the below for my wife status
PR Application status - Application Received

when i clicked in the link i can see that it says
xxx application has been received on Aug 12,2013
medical results have been received

does that mean they have already start processing the file or it is just sitting there ?

No your files are not in process yet.
The e-cas is simply showing that they have received your spouse's apps as well including her medicals. (This is in Mississauga)
They will eventually send off her apps tho your VO and when you login with her application number it will show "In Process"

Hello Every one,
Just to bring your attention that after being held for almost 5 months (Still the strike is on ), today is the first time Canadian free local news paper Metro published an article on VISA Strike and it's adverse effect. It seems the PR applicants are the most affected, it is dropped by almost 5000 applications compare to last year at the same period of time, which is almost 10%.

Keep the positive vibes , hope Ottawa will take some action and they start work in faster pace.

Hello everybody!

Still waiting for AOR... Hope it won't take very much longer, as we're getting kinda anxious!
I have one question and maybe someone can help.
As I mentioned in my first post, we are planning on leaving in about 7 months from now, around April, before my husband receives his Permanent Residence Visa. I wanted to ask about the procedure concerning his passport. I've read many forums which mention that the Visa office (in our case Rome) asks for the applicant's passport to be sent before they give the final approval and keep it for up to 6 months.. The thing is that we really need to leave in 7 months and we wanted to know if they need it within the first 6-7 months from the begging of the procedure, or later on, so in that case we could just send it from Canada.

Any info would be great!!
