My app was received by CIC on August 12 and I got an email today, so you should be hearing something very soon, I would think.

Congrats on the email!! Another step closer! :)

Hello everybody!

Still waiting for AOR... Hope it won't take very much longer, as we're getting kinda anxious!
I have one question and maybe someone can help.
As I mentioned in my first post, we are planning on leaving in about 7 months from now, around April, before my husband receives his Permanent Residence Visa. I wanted to ask about the procedure concerning his passport. I've read many forums which mention that the Visa office (in our case Rome) asks for the applicant's passport to be sent before they give the final approval and keep it for up to 6 months.. The thing is that we really need to leave in 7 months and we wanted to know if they need it within the first 6-7 months from the begging of the procedure, or later on, so in that case we could just send it from Canada.

Any info would be great!!

Thank you!

YAY!!!! SA received this afternoon and our application is being sent to Ottawa. 8) So excited and relieved... I'll give it a few days before l start getting anxious about the next step. lol It's cool to see at least this stage going faster than anticipated by the times posted on the CIC site.

For the SA, if you provide your email address on the application then you'll just get the email with a PDF, no hard copy will be sent.

This is from the actual PDF document:

If you received this communication via email, please note that another copy will not be mailed to you.

OK, that's weird. I put my email address on the application but did not receive an email. The website said a letter was sent to me on September 4 about the decision on my application. I even double checked my email to make sure I hadn't missed one, but there was nothing there.

This is when my paranoia starts to set in. Maybe the decision was no? ???

Did you get the AOR email?

The ecas still just shows mine at Application Received so it seems things are updated at different times.

I wouldn't get paranoid about it honestly, they just may be slow on sending out an email or the person working on your file missed the email address or mistyped it and it returned, then they just mailed it out. Could be a bunch of different reasons so no worries, it will be good news when you get it. :) And you did check the spam/junk folder right? I saw someone else here state they had their g-mail set up in a manner where it auto-filed it to a specific folder.

Ok so I ve had our application filed on 22nd. I still have no e-cas, no AOR or SA...do i have reason to be concerned?

Hi!
I'm new here. I need some help. I have sponsored my husband living in Philippines. I sent the application to CPC Ontario last Aug 15 and it was received on Aug 19 as per tracking. I am worried because I haven't received any AOR yet. Would I receive it through mail?

I did provide an email address. However, im not sure if they will get that my email address (zero one) is name01@yahoo.com and not capital O. ,My big mistake is that i did not put a note there that it is zero. I do hope that they will get my email address right.

Hi ranzar...AORs are issued in 2-3 weeks or more, depending on the forms you filled up and in the completeness of the supporting documents you submitted sent thru the sponsor's email provided on the form.

AORs and SAs are sometimes issued at the same time which will take on average of 1 month, others thru snail mail.

Don't worry, it will come, just keep on praying... :) ;D :)

Good luck and God bless us all...

Yeah, I got my AOR via email, so it was weird that I didn't get an email for my SA. BUT ... there was a letter waiting for me when I got home from work. APPROVED! Yay!

Thanks for the words of encouragement though. I was feeling a bit down earlier and now I'm on top of the world. ;D

Hello dear! COngratulations on your SA. I've updated your progress already on the spreadsheet.

:)

Hi ranzar! Welcome to the thread! You've been added to the spreadsheet already. Can you please specify the date of medicals of your husband and where is he bound to in Canada? Thanks!! ;) ;) ;)

About your question, you should be receiving your AOR thru email if you were able to provide your email address on your form. However, if you missed your email address on the form, they will send the AOR and the SA to you through regular mail which will take additional days for delivery.

By the way, I am also applying for PR under Manila VO.

Good luck to all of us!!! :P :P :P
