Looking at previous months spreadsheets am I right in thinking not every visa office gives an AOR when passed the files? Not seen any yet with a date for my London office.

There was a problem with my Gmail and I finally found the CIC emails in my Gmail; they sent me AOR on 23 August and they approved my sponsorship on 28 August. The file has been sent to Visa Office (Ankara) same day (28 August). So happy

Received AOR email today! But the email says they received it on 8/26....would that mean my AOR is today or the 26th?

hi again kroovy. my husband likewise received an email on September 5 with same tenor as yours.Pursuant to the email that CIC sent us, they received our application last August 26. With regard to your query, i would say that for timeline and spreadsheet purposes the portion AOR received should have an entry of the date we actually received CIC's notification.in my case September 5.

We plan on leaving for Calgary this April and receive the Permanent Resident Visa there. My husband will enter Canada with a tourist Visa which lasts for 6 months, and if the application isn't ready by then, we will apply for a tourist visa extension.
