Congrats! Even I received my PPR yesterday...is it confirmation that PR is done? Also, my spouse will be travelling abroad for 2 weeks starting today, so is it okay to send it after 15 days? Help!

First of all, your PR will be finished when you finish your landing and later on you'll receive your PR card.
You get usually 60 days for submitting your passports to CIC, so it’s OK to send your passports after your wife returns back to Canada from abroad (if it’s going to take 15 days only).

this system is so fucked up.i havent worked for almost 9 months,i am gtting very close to getting evicted and i have a job lined up when i get pr. if they dont hurry up ill lose job oppertunity and then what become homeless? gcms notes say they requested pcc from me in march but i didnt get the email so they re-requested it in may.so what two maybe three more months. fucking useless. cant call and ask them to hurry before im on the street.i could email and ask for them to speed up under spcial circumstances but they would see my cripling debt as a great reason to reject me. fuck this

Finally everything complete, now just have to land which will be doing in a month or two...
Good luck to everyone still waiting, stay strong!!

We landed last night in Niagara Falls! :)
How was it? Did you land at rainbow bridge?
I'm just curious why people usually land at night? Is it too busy in the morning?
Congrats :)

I guess people land on a weeknight after work. By all accounts weekends are quite busy.

Congrats :)

I worked till 5pm, came home - saw the COPR in the mailbox, took a shower, took my wife and drove to the border. 8)

It was a good experience.

The Americans were more than friendly, we took pictures on the bridge (amazing view), and, once back on the Canadian side, we had to wait for about an hour and a half to land. It was a busy night for the Border Agents.

After 3 years in Canada, we deserved it! :)

Hi All,

I received PPR on 28th May, but since we are in India, our lawyer sent out a request for the passports to be stamped out of India. But till now CIC Ottawa office has not sent any response. Can anyone kindly share how long it usually takes for CIC to reply on this? And since the PPR mail mentioned 60 days as the time limit for sending the passport, would the start date be calculated from 28th May ( when we got PPR) or from the day the reply mail comes?

Hey buddy, we both are sailing in the same boat. I received my PPR on 23-May and my rep sent a request to Ottawa to change the Visa office to New Delhi. It's been a week and i am still waiting for the response. Looking at the timelines of some other applicants, it seems minimum to minimum we should consider 2 weeks. It might go to 3 weeks as well.

Let's wait and see...!

Will keep you posted.
Hope it helps.

Cheers
