Guys a question ; I am planning to go down south to Miami around May 23 and not sure if I would have my PR card by then, I was reading the article Toby mentioned earlier but that does not specify what to do if we want to apply for a Travel Doc inside of canada before leaving?

Trying to find it but it only mentions to apply for it from out side of Canada, nothing from within Canada

You can not apply for a travel document from inside Canada.

Correct, if you do not enter canada in a private vehicle, you will have to complete
this application: >> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp
and submit it to the appropriate visa office.

LOL. Apply for a document from outside Canada? And wait how many weeks for it to get to you??? It sounds like they really don't like people travelling without their PR card.

it's been a week and no reply for request to get passport stamped outside canada. does any body have an idea how long CIC takes to respond to these kind of request...

Unless CIC requests explicitly in the PPR email, no need to send any photos.

No, not yet. I am thinking to order GCMS but I have been informed in earlier posts that it may take time to recieve updates and by that time I may get MR. I know its no harm in doing it, somehow I am very hopefully for this week.

I shall do by end of this week.
