dharane: Even if you didn't receive your medical request, you should still go and get your emedical done, once its done, it will automatically update your records. (Only possibility, if your application has major flaw your medical won't come and your application will be reject [just a practical approach]),
but still don't worry just go ahead and get your emedical done asap.

good luck

I wonder if that is possible. When I called for the appointment, it seemed like the doctor does e-medicals and i have heard that some doctors do not do e-medicals if we do not have the IME code. I will call the doctor office again to confirm if they will do upfront medicals.
Thanks for the information.

your time line looks super sleek ;D ;D ;D ;D

Medicals requested on: 11th March 2014
Medicals done on : 19th March 2014
Medicals Uploaded / Sent on : 27th March 2014

Still I don't see any status change on Ecas that "Medicals Received".
Any one in same situation?
Do we need to inform CIC that we have done with the medicals?

The status will update later, give it a few more days usually one gets PPR after like 10-12 days of medical.

If you click on the status text ("In Process") the next page should say something like:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 6, 2013.
2. We started processing your application on March 7, 2014.
3. Medical results have been received.

Any advice from experts would be appreciated.

I received my medical request on 19 March 2014; and my eCAS shows "We received your application for permanent residence on August 27, 2013."

This is really confusing .... ehhhhh :'(

If they have sent you the medical request, then they have at least started processing your application.

From my experience and others', it's clear that eCAS doesn't show the status of your application in real-time. I'm guessing they import the information into eCAS every few hours, or even days.

We are not supposed to inform CIC. Some people sent scan of the medicals receipt using e-mail. My case was changed to "Medicals has been received" 9 days after medical assessment was done and doctor said he will upload it within 2 weeks after assessment. I'm waiting for PPR for 3 weeks since then...
