I am working in USA now. Is it advisable to renew passport after medicals. Processing time in New York is almost 8 weeks. Please advise.

The only problem you can face is that your landing visa validity (if you get it) will have the same date as your passport validity expiration date. Hopefully you get PPR soon. But you never know.

Thank u nov1061

Some one just landed today at the border (not sure which one). It clearly shows the border landing is still an option.

I am just confused why some applicants are turned away and yet some are able to complete landing.

Maybe they are slowly implementing, and with in a month or two, they will close border landing all together, which will add another 2 months to our PR journey!!! :-X

Sure the problem wasn't with "flagpoling" rather than border landings in general?

Did anyone get Biodata request?

what do you mean that not allowing to land on border can how increase the processing time by 2 months?

if you are not allowed to do landing at Border, you will have to make an appointment with your local immigration office - which people are reporting to have a wait time of 4-6 weeks.

Don't worry. You can land at the border, but you must go all the way to the US (you need visa) and spend some time there ( shopping, caffe, etc.). You can land on your way back to Canada.

Just got RPRF ten minutes ago..

Is Biodata still required? I thought there was no biodata request anymore.

Got my RPRF request minutes back.

I receive a form with MR saying Medical Report - Client Biodata and summary. Is this the biodata request that we guys are discussing about?

Got RPRF request 10 minutes back.
