It looks after strike is over, they are even slower now, if it is AOR or WP related timelines.

Hope it only a temporarily slow process and once they catch up on the backlog things
will speed up.
Don't see why it should be slower now... I really can't think of any reason for this.

Having received the AOR in the first week of Oct 2013, I have a few questions on the next steps.

1) When can I check the Application status online? I couldn't find my application status online yet. We have to check under cic.gc.ca site. Please correct me, if I am wrong.
2) When can I order the GCMS notes? What will be the apt time to request for those notes and how to apply for it from India?
3) After AOR, the next step will be MR from CIC. What will be the tentative duration to expect that?
4) Now, the strike is over. Wouldn't the CEC applications from other countries be processed at their respective visa offices?

1) about 5 days after receiving AOR
2) you can order them whenever you want but there's not much point in doing it for probably about 6-8 months. Or unless you see others from your application month getting MR quickly. It's up to you though. Please read up on getting GCMS notes from outside Canada though.
3) 8-10 months typically. Although processing times change so that could go up, or down.
4) CEC applications, regardless of country of origin, are processed in Ottawa. Applications sent to a visa office are forwarded on.

Thanks. But I need it desperately for BOWP, as my wp expires this week.... I just dont want to risk it and apply without AOR.

Looks like we have very few AOR's received for august applications till now. My application was received on August 29th. With the current trend, it might be more than 60 days to get the AOR.

It seems there is no movement on August AORs. We could not see anybody received AOR yesterday both in trackitt.com and in August'13 spreadsheet. People are waiting for more than 64 days. Concerned :-[
