Nice, good for you!!! :) Looks like you got it almost exactly one year after applying.

thanks iam_toby for your comments. you're right almost one year exactly since I applied until CPP-Ottawa request my passport.
Now I have to send passports to Ottawa and wait for them...

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your landing experience. We plan to land soon. Planning a trip to US to meet family and relatives and plan to land on the way back. Any information and suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Congrats by the way. Good luck. Cheers.

Thanks Androme,

The whole process took 5 minutes and was very straight forward. You drive through the gates an officer will ask you where you're coming from and if you have anything to declare. Once you're done you park your car and go into the building to meet an immigration officer, show him your COPR and passport, he'll read you your PR rights, tell you what will happen next (need to renew SIN+ health card, when to expect your PR card etc) and you're done.

I carried work permits, bank statement, drivers license and ofcourse COPR. But the officer did not ask for anything but COPR and Passport. I don't really know if my work visa is canceled since he did not cross the visa. However he did cross the PR Visa.
I noticed this after getting home or else I would have asked him. I guess it's not valid since he told me that I have to basically wait until I receive my PR Card in order to 'FLY'. He also told me that I can still go between borders with COPR but not via air.

Finally, I landed on 24-August at Peace Bridge. The officer was cool and just asked for COPR and passport.

Thanks to this awesome forum and wish all others who are waiting for their MR/PPRs get them soon.

Dear Shah,

Once you get your PPR in email, you will have 60 days to send your Passports to CIC. So if you are able to come back and send the Passports within 60 days, then you should be good.

I am not sure whether you can send your passport from anywhere else other than from Canada. I guess there are few other forums describing similar situation. Check this out, they might help you:

I completed the medical since august 22nd and my dependents did their own medical today back home. my ecas now says in process. They started processing my application since August 6th 2013. Ecas just says in process since June 19th.. I emailed CIC and they said they received my medicals.. Ecas didnt update with that. I am thinking if I should email CIC again or not.
