This is really inconsistent. People who are getting MR's before have not gotten the RPRF email yet and the reverse in other cases.

Hi All,

Can any one advise if the NOC category also affects the Waiting Time for MR?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Usheraz,

I can't generalize my answer, but in the few instances where i had the same doubt, it didnt hold true. Applicants from various occupations, not just IT or healthcare, have got their MRs weeks earlier than others. Now, does it depend on their job skill level, like 0 or A types prioritized over B...I can't say. I haven't looked into that yet.

I doubt if this is true. I am from NOC 2173(IT Professional) and I am still waiting for medicals.

Dilli, I am also on the same boat.
Please keep me posted if you get any updates,
MyDetails: NOC 2173, App Received : 16th Aug, AOR 5th Sep, Medicals: Waiting and Waiting...

This is exactly what i explained. I have read from many IT and Healthcare professionals waiting for their MRs, while others in their respective months have got it. So at least we know that occupation factor is not in the priority formula.

Dilli and Anamadheya, I am also from NOC=2173, App Received : 13 Aug, AOR 4th Sep, waiting Medicals. Also note that one person (from Aug 20th App received) with same NOC code already got his medical.

Hi mkapadia, Anamadheya, Dilli, usheraz,

I did my eMedicals yesterday, my timeline is as below

Application Filed: 17-Aug-2012
AOR: 12-Sep-2012
Medicals Requested: 23-Apr-2013
eMedicals done: 30-Apr-2013
NOC: 2173

I have seen your discussion regarding getting Medicals and RRPF. I think the following are factors driving this.

Police Clearance Certificate Submitted along with the Application ?
Criminality Check Status (This takes time for individuals depends on how many country you have traveled)
GCMS Notes ever requested ? (I have requested for GCMS notes on March 26th. I received the notes on April 22nd and got medicals on April 23rd)

RRPF is request is sent if your employment letter and NOC code, Salary qualifies the category.

Looking at the status, it seems like there are three people received their MR already. I wonder, where are you guys from?

I am from Vancouver and still waiting for my MR. Hopefully, all of us get a good news soon!!

Hi zeecanigo,

I am from Ontario, got medicals on 23-April-2013, completed medicals on 30-April-2013. App Filed 17-Aug-2012, NOC 2173.

Want to send GCMS notes ASAP, can anyone point to link to that site or exact process to request this?

might sound ignorant but can anybody please tell me what GCMS notes are and how they are useful? i tried googling it but couldnt find satisfactory answers

Hi Mkapadia,

GCMS stands for Global Case Management System, it is a immigration file system which CIC uses. CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'.

You can apply on your own 20$ takes 3-4 weeks, or you can use caips notes (caipsnotes dot com) 45$ takes 3-4 weeks.

Note: Caips notes is a private company.

check this link for more details site canadavisa dot com /canada-immigration-discussion-board/latest-caips-gcms-notes-forms-and-how-to-order-t99210.0.html

I would suggest you to wait for couple of weeks, because before you receive this report everybody will be getting it at that time.

Just received my RPRF email today !!! I am feeling so relieved !!! Hoping for the medical email to come in a few days too :D
All the best to all of us !!!
