Dear All,

who ever applied for GCMS,

How long did it take to get report back? which option is faster and has all required info? email? hardcopy? cd? etc?

Please advice.

also if there is anybody in this forum who has their FSW application and CEC application both simultaneously going ?? I applied for FSW in 2010, Got my PER in march 2011 and then never heard till two weeks ago.they asked me send all updated forms and fees and medical.But I had left Canada in 2011 and applied CEC in 2012, thinking I will be ineligible as my application was reviewed on the basis of arranged employment and i don't work in Canada any longer.

I am very confused, should i let FSW go or am I eligible? will they process my CEC if my FSW is processing.

Don't know what to do?

It takes 25-30 days,
physical --> does not provide much useful info, it is just scanned copy of all the files and docs you have submitted till date + one track log which just contains few info about when they received, when did they send medicals etc..
Electronic --> Contains useful info (I don't know details yet) @All If any one have received electronic GCMS notes please share some details.
If you are not worried about 5$ then you can request for both.

Folks,

I received my GCMS notes recently.It is in PDF format,about 30-40 pages.It pretty much had all the details submitted in my paper application.I ordered both for my FSW and CEC application detail,.received in 25-30 days.

Security:
Medical:
Criminality:
Final:

In my case ,criminality is in progress.Other than that ,it was not much useful to me.

Medical request arrived today!!! My spouse and I applied August 2012, and I just got the email ordering us to identify a panel physician in our area and go in the next 60 days. I am so happy! I thought it would never happen.

I'm sure you must be checking out all the medical clinics. When doing so - pls balance two things -

Who gives you the earliest appointment VS.
How quickly they will send your medical results to CIC (15 days is too much - if there is a clinic that can send it in 4-5 days)

I hope our friends from Ottawa here, might share their experience of good clinics which can upload your medical results within 5 days or so.

How you know that the issue date is cut off date???? I always thought that everything will be assessed against the date you submitted the application.

I think there was a slight misunderstanding.. The date on your reference letter (March 2012) is treated as the cut off date for your experience which falls short by 5 months from the expected 2 years work experience. That explains why they have mentioned that your experience is less than two years. You might be able to remedy this by submitting a new reference letter ( where the content will be similar to the old one) but with the current date and yes you will need updated T4s and NOA . Pay stubs are optional if you can send in the T4, NOA and reference letter. Having said that, despite doing all this it's not guaranteed that you will get accepted but you have no choice at the moment. Also, if possible write an explanation letter on how you made a small boo boo in the reference letter date and your trying to rectify that with this new updated reference letter.. make it sound like a genuine mistake and you might get the benefit of doubt .From my understanding , usually they don't consider updated reference letters . So keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best!

It's good that you picked up on this.. Great question! This is definitely debatable and we need more information from davis to arrive a stable conclusion. Again, this is just my speculation about davis's case where he would be exactly eligible from August 2012 to apply for CEC but, he submitted a letter earlier than his eligibility period.. Doesn't this ring a bell? But, your right about what you say and nothing wrong there either.. There's definitely a big hole in the process where they say that we should submit a "RECENT LETTER" but they never say "HOW RECENT?". We should all be atleast safe and get a letter after the eligibility period. Nothing wrong in doing that right? So I said what I said based on davis's GCMS notes and the information that he provided.

Davis your right! Hopefully they will look into the content and that will knock some sense into their heads. I should say that your lucky because you applied for GCMS right on time and you had enough time to remedy it. I'm hoping that things will go well for you . Please keep me posted on how things go.. Hello Folks,
Did you guys see any one receiving Passport request this week?
I am trying to find out a pattern in which CIC works, I was thinking one week they will send Medical requests and in next week they wil work on passport requests and PPRF related applications
Any thoughts?

Applying for GCMS notes a month before the anticipated time of your application being picked up (say after 8-9 months of your application date) is a good idea.
It lets you review the notes and take any remedial action (like send in additional evidence) before CIC rejects problematic applications.
Once rejected, there is no other option than to reapply.

I am little concerned about why I haven't got medical request, my application was received on 20 Aug'12 and AOR on 11 Sept'12. Should I send an email to CIC or whether anyone during this timeline still waiting for medical request as I am also seeing September and October applicants are received medical request. Please advice

Apply for GCMS notes, this will help to see where you are stuck at.
