An update for any of those still based Outland with long waits who are getting worried.
CIC received my application on 03-Aug (80 days today) and we had heard nothing. While I was very happy for all the August people getting there approval I was a little bit worried we had been left behind.
My sponsor called them today and they were very helpful and informative. We found out that we had passed Stage 1 as long ago as 14-Sep but that no AOR was sent. They sent a letter containing the decision to our address here in the UK but after 5 weeks nothing has been received.
They also confirmed that my file is (and has been for sometime) in London VO now for processing. We were given the File number and can now actually see this information on E-CAS as these updates did not show via our receipt number.
For those who have been over 65 days and are feeling a bit frazzled- I would highly recommend having your sponsor call the CIC call centre for information- in our case it has certainly brightened my mood and they were helpful and informative by all accounts.
Lastly a question- do I need to worry about the lack of this letter? I'm relocating to Canada in another 6 weeks and was thinking this would be a useful thing to have at entry.
