So my landing went off without a hitch! I'm in Toronto, so we drove to Niagara Falls.. went up to the booth on the American side, I told the officer I was landing today and he's like yep, we can do that..he was very friendly. Took my passport and tubed it to their office, told us to park and go in. We went in, waited about 45 minutes, and got our "Refused entry to the US" letter thingie.. another officer escorted us out, we drove out and back to the Canadian side. The Canadian part was super quick! Drove up to the booth, the guy took my passport, asked me what my status here was, said okay, go in the office. We went in, the Immigration desk had 4 officers working and they looked pretty bored because there was no one there except for me! lol so no waiting, I went up to a lady, she was nice, just took my passport and CPR, told me to have a seat while she did her thing. We sat for literally 2 min, and she called me back again. She asked me if I had any other dependents that weren't declared in my app, and if I had ever been convicted of a crime in any country.. I said no, she had me sign my CPR, and said okay, your PR card will arrive in 4-6 weeks, you're now a resident of Canada, congratulations! I was so happy! It was so quick and easy! I'm still on cloud 9 and can't believe it
I wanted to thank every one of you who has helped me with my persistent and annoying questions these past 2 years.. I don't think I'd be here today if it weren't for your help! I'll be back here to check on my fellow Augustians and see how everyone's doing
Wish you all a lovely new year, those of you who have landed, enjoy! and those of you that haven't, hang in there, it'll come soon!! Adios!
