@ Rayffa_Q ;D, great i`m so glad for you. I was planing to land before my kids so keep us posted i want to see how everything goes .

Thanks everyone, my kids will probably not move here until they are over 18 and no longer under joint custody with my ex husband, although they were included in my application as dependents but they were listed as non accompanying but was medically examined so that i can sponsor them in the future should they wish to move here later. Currently they are happier back home.

but for those with accompanying dependents, they would only process COPR of those present only so yes copy of COPR is important. until u get your pr card, it will be the only prove of u as a PR for your SIN, bank, medical apps. am leaving in 3 weeks so hubby will keep my pr, sin and med card as he is coming back next june to pick me up for good.

Oh ye canada, why art thou freezing me bumsie off, making me lazy to go outside and make sin card
But yes, it's a nice weather to chill out and sleep in during the holidays 8)...jingle bells!!!

Medicals have been received! Yes! Does that mean, that PPR could come soon?
Not necessarily. My medicals has been received since October, have heard nothing since, but who knows, yours could be diffenent.

The uci was different, the sponsorship approval had one for hubby and the AOR had one for me, which happens to be the same as the one on my visitor record (the kids and i are in canada now with hubby). The application file number (Fxxxx) is the same.

Thanks awor, for the info, really appreciate it.

hope all goes well with you.

Ohhh my God!!!!

Cant believe it!!!!! :o :o :o

My visa office has a 30 month processing time and guess what? Just received right now an update from e-cas tracker!!

"We started processing XXXXXXXXX application on December 15, 2011."

WOW! Cant believe it! When you see the processing time is 30 months you get discouraged and when you see this ONLY 45 days later?!? You cant believe how someone can feel!..

Let's hope for a fast PPR tho as this would be the last step!! :) FINALLY!! ;D

P.S; my adress did not dissappear and neither were my medicals received neither got an AOR. So the point is that don't expect anything to come to you. Just stay patient as this is a waiting game and you're only going to get what you are meant to be receiving. :)

Good luck to everyone!

Ryaff_Q is so good to see someone land and before christmas is even better.
mosa786 that is great news i hope you have a quick process :)
Update on my end, after christmas we will be booking our flights then hubby has to start looking for job and place to live. Still aiming for the middle of June purely because of the kids schooling.
I so just want to start packing but we cant live out of boxes for 6 months so ive been told to calm down lol.
Ive also got to tell my family that we are going, i havent told them yet as its something they wouldnt do therefore its wrong. Wish me luck lol.
Happy holidays to all :)

After an email just yesterday to say my application was in process at Sydney office I was stoked!

I got home this evening and there was another email in my inbox. PPR! Who would have thought?!

Congrats Mosa & Easykiwi. Looks as if August will all be done leaving me here on my lonesome.

hi fellow Augustinians,

It has been a depressing week for many Cagay-anons (Cagayan de Oro, Philippines) like me. Many families and friends were lost because of storm sendong. I hope that during these trying times our faith in God will strengthen.

Many heart-breaking scenes around me. I hope that whoever will read this help us pray to God to help us get through these trying times.

Godbless.

Hello Folks.

I have just found this forum and I'm so glad there are people I can talk to about things.

We are currently applying for a common-law permenant visa. My partner is Canadian but living in Scotland with me. We have had the sponsorship application go through successfully and are just waiting on the Permenent Residence Applicaiton status to be completed.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me when the timeline starts from? This is what it says, which is why I am confused:

Sponsorship
We received your application to sponsor ............. on August 17, 2011.

We started processing your application on October 27, 2011.

We sent you a letter on October 27, 2011 about the decision on your application.

THEN

Permanent Residence
We received .......... application for permanent residence on August 17, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

Does anyone know if this means they start processing the Permenent Residence part from August 17th? Or from October 27th?

Just so we can kind of work out when we are looking at moving!

Thanks to everyone for their help.
