What about those of us whose files have been complete (including all security checks, RPRF paid, etc) since May?cec_21 said:People who are waiting for security check will be done by month end to next month and the one who have RPF request should be done by this or next week. CIC agent told one of my friend as well as his immigration lawyer said they have started working on the backlogs and everybody who is eligible should have PR by end of December no matter what!
On a different note, why isnt your open work permit doing any help in taking up the job offer?Zapf said:What about those of us whose files have been complete (including all security checks, RPRF paid, etc) since May?
End of December is ridiculous and unacceptable. By the end of December I will have left Canada and returned to the States. I've lost count of all the Canadian job offers I've lost due to not having PR yet.
of so just to clarify if Bg and sec checks are done and you already got the RPRF request and paid. Then we should hear something by the end of this week/next week??cec_21 said:If everything is done you should get it soon if security or anything is under process it will be before december!
Just a friendly reminder, the call center agents do not need to be responsible for whatever they say. So I think we can only take the information from them as a reference.2016istheyear said:of so just to clarify if Bg and sec checks are done and you already got the RPRF request and paid. In my industry, employers are awarded a huge tax incentive (something like 40%) for hiring Canadian citizens or permanent residents. But they get nothing for hiring those with open work permits. So they always express interest in hiring me until they find out I don't have PR, then they go silent.icecoldsea said:On a different note, why isnt your open work permit doing any help in taking up the job offer?
