@vugupta

The initial duration is the same for both the courses. 2 years.

Since thesis based programs require to publish a thesis it preparations need time time and if you don't plan it accordingly you may end up taking more than 2 years to complete the course and paying more as tuition whereas project based can be finished in time. Employers give more preference to a project than a thesis when it comes to MEng.

Why don't you try Alberta or Calgary, universities which are way better than Regina?

Good Luck!

word of advice:
Don't just take the PR rules of Canada for granted. It keeps changing from time to time in a very obscure level. So keep track of tht. I dont mean to scare u, just stating sme facts before u leave for saskateshwan (excuse me for the poor spelling :p). Also the place is notorious for its crime rates in the recent years. Google it and check the stats with the canandian immigration. So make sure u find a suitable accomodation before u leave.
As far as your profile is concerned u r pretty much in the safe zone with ur exp n degrees. All u need to do is concentrate on ur grades and maintain a good GPA thruout d course and lead urself to the ultimate goal of PR.

Cheers :D

You wll have to produce the bank statement only at the time of the visa interview. You should show a minimum of 15000-20000 CAD depending on the university.
Apply to the universities and wait till u get the admission acceptance letters.
