2)University to Regina Saskatshawen- MEng

How good is the region for full-time jobs after graduation n part time jobs during graduation n chances for PR? Also cd u brief me abt d living conditions if u knw any..

Hi,

1. Sorry, no idea about MEng program/admission.
2. MBA at Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria;
a. A good ranking school in Canada.
b. A reasonable tuition of CAD 30,000 (one of the lowest in Canada).
c. Average class GMAT 580.
d. Guaranteed paid co-op (4 + 4 months.
e. One international consulting project in Brazil/China/India.
f. Around 50 seats, with top 15% of class getting MBA Entrance Award in range of CAD 500 to 10,000.

hi this fall going to apply in U of Regina and sask. in Mengg course

want to know difference of duration between Meng course based and Meng thesis based in chemical/petroleum engineering.

And are these courses good job and PR point of view

my profile
10th - 73%
12th - 50%
Diploma in chemical engineering - 66%
Btech in chemical engineering - 62%
IELTS score - 7 band
Work Experience - three years in oil and gas manufacturing in semi government company of india

@vugupta

The initial duration is the same for both the courses. 2 years.

Since thesis based programs require to publish a thesis it preparations need time time and if you don't plan it accordingly you may end up taking more than 2 years to complete the course and paying more as tuition whereas project based can be finished in time. Employers give more preference to a project than a thesis when it comes to MEng.

Why don't you try Alberta or Calgary, universities which are way better than Regina?

Good Luck!

thanks for replying...

i was trying u of regina and sask.. due to their PR easy rules that you have to do job in any sector for 6 months wheather it is relevant to your education or not than after i will be eligible to file PR......

plz guide if i may be wrong

Oh Ok.
Good Luck with dt!
I don't think it'd be tht difficult for u to find a job coz apparently u hv a good profile n considerable work experience..also i believe u of regina provides internship option in the curriculum whc is a really gud opportunity to gain sme solid canadian experience..so u shd utilize it to the maximum..

word of advice:
Don't just take the PR rules of Canada for granted. It keeps changing from time to time in a very obscure level. So keep track of tht. I dont mean to scare u, just stating sme facts before u leave for saskateshwan (excuse me for the poor spelling :p). Also the place is notorious for its crime rates in the recent years. Google it and check the stats with the canandian immigration. So make sure u find a suitable accomodation before u leave.
As far as your profile is concerned u r pretty much in the safe zone with ur exp n degrees. All u need to do is concentrate on ur grades and maintain a good GPA thruout d course and lead urself to the ultimate goal of PR.

Cheers :D

You wll have to produce the bank statement only at the time of the visa interview. You should show a minimum of 15000-20000 CAD depending on the university.
Apply to the universities and wait till u get the admission acceptance letters.
