A settlement plan was a requirement of my PNP application which went smoothly.

CIC wants to make sure that you do intend on living in the nominating province because we all know that many will attempt to return to the big cities after abusing the poor provinces' need for immigrants. Some provinces (eg, NB) make you sign a binding agreement for a period of time where you CANNOT reside anywhere else in Canada.

You simply have to state why do you want to live there? ever visited the province? Education in the province? Relatives? Employment? Business? How will you settle socially? How will you settle economically?

It's really not a big deal but it does jump out at the Officer when you're nominated by a province and living in another (which is possible, of course). They need to be somewhat convinced of your genuine intention of living in the nominating province. Best of luck!

Thank you for creating this thread. I'm also a PNP nominee of Ontario yet residing in Alberta. Did CIC ask you IMM specific form to complete or you just sent your letter of intent documents when youre still applying for nomination?

Hi,

I am currently working in the USA and have applied for Province XX PNP recently. It is still being adjudicated and am yet to get a nomination.

Now, my employer is relocating me to Province YY next month on a Closed Work Permit....I may need to stay there for one year.

What is the impact to my Province XX PNP? Do I now need to inform Province XX about my move to Province YY on a Work Permit? If I inform, would there be a chance of rejection based on a potential close tie with Province YY? Or is it absolutely normal to get Province XX nomination while residing in Province YY?

If I am asked to provide a settlement plan for Province XX at a later point of time, what should be my response?

Appreciate your suggestion and guidance.

Hello, two days ago I also received a message from CIC requesting to submit the settlement plan for Ontario (I am living in Alberta). I did it this morning. What is coming next? Somebody has been rejected for not satisfy the immigration officer with his/her letter?

Is there any updates after submitting settlement plan ?
