Hi All,

Happy New Year!

I am creating this thread for the benefit of all the graduate students in Atlantic Provinces who are planning to apply or have already applied and received Permanent Residency through Atlantic International Graduate Program(AIGP). The two primary reasons are to help and support each other as much as possible and the second reason is that I couldn't find a dedicated thread for AIGP.

Please share your timelines and answer queries from your experiences to help your fellow graduates across the Atlantic provinces.

For timelines, you can use the following format:
1. Endorsement Application Date:
2. Endorsement Approval Date:
3. PR Application Date:
4. AOR Date:
5. Medical Request Date:
6. Medical Approval Date:
7. Pre-Arrival/COPR:
8. Interview Request:

Please feel free to add if I have missed anything above.

Let's help each other.

P.S.: I am just another grad student like you, in the process of applying for my PR.

Did you get the AOR through physical mail or e-mail?
I believe, AOR is sent by mail because you can link your paper application to your online cic account after your file no. is created. Please suggest @gyu3s if my understanding is correct. Also, based on timelines posted on other threads for AIPP, the average time for CIC to send AOR letter to applicants is 3 to 8 weeks.

Yes, its taking longer than usual. Although the provincial immigration offices say 6 weeks processing time for endorsement application, they are scrutinizing the employers in depth.

Hi, Do you have any updates? How did you receive your AOR - letter by mail or email? Thanks

No. Still waiting.

Try checking here:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html

After selecting immigration browse down to Paper Application section>Click on use the online tool, which is updated daily.

It needs your UCI as an idenitifier to see if your application is entered by cic in their system and then further option to link it to your online account.

If it says we cannot find your application don't worry, it will come through eventually. All the best!
