I applyed for a work permit extension online and got refused because I had to make a paper based application. My PR application was submitted on November 12, 2019, AOR a month later. Still no news and my work permit is going to expire in mid July.

How should you do that? The vfs office in our country stated that we can no longer submit a paper-based application for a work permit, the only option is to apply online. What did u do ?

This is written in the refusal letter:
To be eligible to apply for a 1-year employer-specific work permit under the Atlantic
Immigration Pilot Program, the foreign national must submit a paper-based work permit
application to the Case Processing Centre in Edmonton (CPC-E). As you submitted an e-
application, your application is therefore refused.

They started processing your application or the decision was made from the beginning? Did they ask for biometrics?
