Hello everyone,

Recently, I crossed the US border to do a Nexus interview, and I came back the same day two hours later, but on my return to Canada, something felt off with the immigration officer. He took my passport and PR card and gave it back immediately which makes me think he didn’t run it in the system and just gave it back. Anyway, I requested ATIP which came in today and it shows my exit from Canada but no Entry. However, I'm currently in Canada. Is there a way I can fix this, so it doesn’t effect my Citizenship Application?

Subection 12(2) of the Privacy Act states,
(2) Every individual who is given access under paragraph (1)(a) to personal information that has been used, is being used or is available for use for an administrative purpose is entitled to
(a) request correction of the personal information where the individual believes there is an error or omission therein;
(b) require that a notation be attached to the information reflecting any correction requested but not made; and
(c) require that any person or body to whom that information has been disclosed for use for an administrative purpose within two years prior to the time a correction is requested or a notation is required under this subsection in respect of that information
(i) be notified of the correction or notation, and
(ii) where the disclosure is to a government institution, the institution make the correction or notation on any copy of the information under its control.
All you have to is reply to the email that attached the travel history report and cite subsection 12(2) of the Privacy Act, requesting this entry to be added by way of a correction or notation. Be sure to mention both correction and notation.

@xf2278389393 all of my entries to Canada at the land border when using Nexus are missing from the Traveller History report, but recorded in the Nexus system. Nexus entries at Canadian Airports are recorded. Exits to the US using Nexus are recorded. Have you heard of anything like this before?

I've sent an email to CBSA-ASFC_ATIP-AIPRP@cbsa-asfc.gc.ca citing the ATIP report number and requesting correction under Subsection 12(2) of the Privacy Act. Hopefully they act on my request - have you gotten your own Traveller History record corrected?

That is very odd but should be easy enough to fix. Even if it's not, it would be clear to any citizenship officer, if they pull the report at all, that there is something wrong with CBSA records if a number of successive exits with no corresponding entries appear on there. The only possible explanation would then be that either the exits are mistakes or the entries weren't recordee. They may ask for more information from you but the Nexus report should be good enough to explain it.

It is of course possible that the everything was properly recorded but that the CBSA officer running the report didn't include entries made with a Nexus card, depending on how they searched. Make sure you include your Nexus card as a travel document on your citizenship application, just in case that makes a difference.

@xf2278389393 the Nexus Card entries at airports were definitely included. And the Traveler History search used both my Nexus card’s Member ID and its actual Card Serial Number.

Thanks for the reassurance - hope they correct this

Update - CBSA and Nexus confirmed that a special 24 digit number is recorded at the land border Nexus entries and provided me with the standard Traveler History Report showing my 24 digit number and the missing entries

Great. Did you reply to the email mentioned in the atip ?

My spouse received the report last week and one of her exit is recorded as entry. Also of one her entry very 1st one on trv is missing. Not sure is it because I was suppose to provided TRV number along with passport number / travel document.

For me peesonally atip came with zero travel history. When i looked closely there was no travel travel document recorded even though i am sure i provided it. Anyways Pr card ans Uci and 1st name last name dob isnt enogh for them. They want you to give them whole travel history so they copy past back it to u.
So disappointed how cbsa works. Very lazy
