Asked to mail a copy of passport after citizenship interview...

I had my interview, and got 20/20 (I think practically everyone got 20/20 in fact). It was too easy, so to those who are worried, you don't need to be.

However, I have traveled quite a lot for work in the past (and documented every single trip clearly). The officer mentioned that it will take a long time to go through all the stamps in my passport (?!?) , and that I would need to mail a copy of every page to CIC. I immediately mailed a copy of my passport after my interview.

Has anyone had this happen before? I'm not sure what to make of this! Am I screwed (in terms of processing time) or is this somewhat normal for applicants with an extensive travel history? Is this what is meant by "RQ"?

Nothing abnormal here either. Additional documents are sometimes asked even after the interview & test, including pages of one's passport. It is not a "RQ" - and is not likely to delay your processing pace either.

I hope it's totally normal. The officer mentioned that he already had gone through the CBSA records.

I just wish he had gone through the stamps with me right then and there. This whole "mail in a copy of your passport" strategy felt strange, when he could have simply gone through my passport stamps in 5-10 minutes and cross-checked with the CBSA record.

Their job during the interview is to match the stamps with the ICES report. They usually have the report during the interview. I guess you got one of the infamous federal slacker employee. I have been through the process already and I had over 50 overseas trip. I don't want to scare you but if your passport looks like mine with 10 stamps on each page, chances are the officer won't be able to make sense out of it. As i said they have to match each record from ICES report with a stamps in the passport. And if their are more stamps than in the travel report, it will raise concerns.

Now that I have applied again, Im sure im going to be asked the same during the interview. Before we had to send all passport pages with the application. Now it is only Bio page, so I think this is going to be a new trend for people with a lot of travel.

What is your time line, office and how many days did you apply with?

Hi.. which was your processing Office ? I faced similar as you. Interview went well, text score was perfect, the officer told us (family) to celebrate but didn't mention anything specific on when the cal for Oath would be. The very next day, around 10am, i got a call from the same officer asking me to submit colored photocopy of all pages of my passports. Mailed the same the very next day. Like you, I had the same confusion, the Officer had all the time to check all my stamps in 15 minutes ! I only had 8-9 absences in last 6 years totaling to 12 stamps

Mine was in Ottawa. I applied with over 100 days as buffer. My officer didn't even tell me to celebrate lol the interview was all about mailing a copy of every page of my passport. He didn't even check for any documents apart from my PR card and driver's license!

Hey there, did this delay your approval? My spouse has had a lot of travel and the officer asked us to send a scanned copy of all the stamps.

I had a similar situation. Did my test Dec 5 but at the interview the officer asked me to resubmit my physical presence calculator and color copy of my passports. I had some same day trips to US and forgot to put those in as well as a flight returning from LA where I landed 1 AM and didn't remember of that so I put the return on the day before which was my ticket date(date when I left LA) . Submitted all on the same day and got DM on Dec 25.

No invite to oath yet tough. Called IRCC and they confirmed that my documents have been reviewed and Approved under the requirements but nothing about the ceremony yet.

Thanks! My spouse's case was a bit different. Agent asked us to send a colored scan of entry/exit stamps in passport because there were too many stamps for the agent to verify during our interview. We are waiting for a request mail from them which they said would come early next week.
