Hi,

I am an Indian citizen and applying for Canada PR. My daughter was born in USA, so she holds the US citizenship. Please let me know what I should select (Yes/No) for this question. This question is being asked in 'ID Documents - Summary' section. If I select 'YES' then it's asking me to enter document id and expiry date. However there's another field in the same ID documents section, where it's asking me to enter passport number and expiry date. So I don't know if I can enter passport details again for this question too. Please advise.

Regards,
Syed

If YOU aren't a permanent resident of the US, why would you answer Yes to that question? It is very straightforward.

Thank you for your response. My apologize for not being clear in my query. This question is being asked to my Daughter who holds US citizen. I have already updated her passport details in the ID summary section. However they are still asking this question and I don't know what details to enter here. She has passport and SSN but not USCIS number.

Okay. Since she is a US Citizen by birth, then the answer to that question is No.

"Lawful permanent residents (LPRs), also known as “green card” holders, are non-citizens who are lawfully authorized to live permanently within the United States."

If you are still worried, you can always include a Letter of Explanation to clarify the situation.
