I'm also sending my ARC fees now & medical is expiring in 3 weeks. I wonder how long it will be until we get approved. Or if they will call us for interview. I think my case is similar to Violett11 except I applied late November 2014. Our visa office says 16-17 months more processing, but I'm hoping to see my husband by Christmas. Keep the thread posted if you guys have news please.

I'll let you know when we hear from the VO. Did your VO request that you send the Arc payment?
We follow the instructions they gave us, my husband paid at the bank and he scanned the payment receipt and emailed it to the VO. I checked with the VO and they told me they received everything and that his application is in queue to be reviewed by the Immigration Program Manager. Wr send it in April this year and we are still waiting for a decision.

yes the VO asked for ARC fee last week, with updated police clearance. I am going to mail and email everything in. it's really hard to tell how long these things take. So many people say different things ranging from PPR 2 days later, or 6 months later. But so far, I think it's a positive thing that the VO has requested the ARC fee. At least the application is moving forward.

When last time my wife talk to MP and he told here don't worry everything is fine your husband will be here before Medical expire, but my medica is going to expire 2nd week of October and nothing happened yet.

Did anyone have RCMP clearance request?

I just got a request but would like to know how long it actually takes the RCMP to process it all.

RCMP hardly takes two weeks.

Two weeks sounds amazing!

Is that for deportation on the record?

I keep seeing that for deported, or people who have someone on their record it takes 120 days.

I really hope not.

What I don't understand is that when my husband was detained, I think he was fingerprinted and they must have done a criminal record check at that time before he got deported. I don't understand why they need an RCMP certificate now.

Jimmy you are right. The RCMP certificate only took about a week once the fingerprints were sent in.

Now how long will the embassy take to review it is another question.

Our medicals expired and they haven't requested to renew yet either.

...more waiting now...

You and Violet have similar story to my filing ... I'm not as far as both of you but knowing all this really gives me a idea of what's ahead for me and my husband.

My question is how Do they do the RCMP report , do we have to pay for that or send in the records ourself. (Because I know for sure my husband doesn't have a record while he was here in Canada) and like you said when your husband was detained wouldnt they have already have his finger prints on records my husband too was detained and deported straight from holding cell... He didn't not leave when he was suppose to and was caught through random stop by local police who then called immigration. At that time we had been in a two year relationship planning for marriage and got marry six months after his deportation (so I'm sure we have many red flags )

I don't think your getting a interview which is real good because they wouldn't ask for the fees for ARC without making a PR decision, this I know because my friend's hubby who was also deported never got a interview and was requested to pay the ARC fee and within few months his PR was granted

Good luck all

I used one of the accredited companies on the RCMP website, there's only a handful of choices, and from that list, there is only 3 that do the international fingerprinting service. National Pardon had online forms that could be downloaded easily, and the cost was only $195 canadian (other companies used USD so be aware).

Basically husband gets fingerprints taken by police in his country. Then he sent the forms and prints to National Pardon, and then National Pardon digitized the fingerprints, and sent to RCMP same day.

From when National Pardon sent the prints to RCMP, I received the clearance letter 5 business days after. super fast.

I think you just started your application, and the only advise I have is that you just have to take it one step at a time.

The embassy will tell you what and when you need to submit stuff. The faster you submit their requested documents, the better, but otherwise, it's all a terribly long waiting process.
