I’m going for undergraduate studies
Okay, yeah the definitely reach out to your university. Also, I did my undergrad in canada and had my visa delayed the first time so instead of fall, I went in the winter semester. So based on my experience, it shouldnt be an issue. Do check though. Good luck :).

Okay I’m a little bit relieved. I saw on my provisional admission letter different start up dates which includes September 8, 2021
January 10, 2022
May 9, 2022
Seeing this if I don’t get reply on time for Fall I would differ to Summer May 9

But haven't got PPR yet so, should I wait till aug 6 or else differ my sem??
Hi @Harsh2411. I'm sorry to hear you haven't heard back. To be honest with you, I'm not sure if you should defer your semester, I would personally wait until August 6th though. What country are you applying from? I ask because know certain visa offices in some countries are temporarily not working or processing visas, so maybe it has something to do with that (depending on where you're applying from). I hope you hear something soon, waiting is hard.
I have applied from India and my application is currently in Delhi office:(

Where did you get this information from? Is it only applicable for VO in India?
From webinar conducted by IRCC indian team today. It is only applicable to India since they were delaying decision due to passport stamping being closed India which opened back again yesterday.

If anyone was unaware, the three day mandatory quarantine will also be lifted for all travelers regardless of vaccination status starting from August 9.

Finally, with the advent of increased vaccination rates in Canada, declining COVID-19 cases and reduced pressure on health care capacity, the three-night government authorized hotel stay requirement will be eliminated for all travellers arriving by air as of 12:01 A.M. EDT on August 9. Fully vaccinated travellers who meet the requirements will be exempt from quarantine; however, all travellers must still provide a quarantine plan and be prepared to quarantine, in case it is determined at the border that they do not meet the necessary requirements.
