I submitted my application on the 20th of April but wasn’t aware I was supposed to do an upfront medical. Will I just get a medical request or will my application get rejected for that?
Under the non SDS stream, going for upfront medicals is a choice, so you will not get refused for simply not going for upfront medicals. You should get a medical request letter if you pass the eligibility stage.

March/April applicants, please update your status here as and when you get an update. Patiently waiting to hear back but no luck so far.

Non-SDS
Bio and meds done in April (upfront meds)
Eligibility started and meds passed around May 10th
Since then 2-3 ghost updates in the next week

And silence since then. Complete silence. Not even BVL.

Man this is taking a big toll on my mental health. Why the heck is ircc holding back refusals and ppr, atleast why rejections? Who the heck is the genius behind the logic used by the IRCC on keeping backlogs intact and giving decisions to newer files.
It is not the first time they are doing this. Even in the last lockdown time they literally gave priority to newer files than old ones. Now even the stamping is open then why? I am getting sad and mad over everything nowadays because of someone's genius move.
Round of applause for the IRCC.

I have called both IRCC Canada and home visa office now so its very safe to call any.
My opinion on your case: Even if a consultant (i pray it is some RCIC panel consultant) has applied foe you, YOU are the primary applicant and definitely you can talk. Keep your UCI number ready.
How to call Delhi Visa office??

How to call Delhi Visa office??
There is no sense to call Delhi office cauz there are saying that they don't share information on immigration and for that you have to email them or fill webform which I have done 2-3 times but no response at all.

Its simple they don’t want rejected files to reapply and, they want new applicants to not fear the processing times which is why they are giving out their decisions. All of our decisions have been made but they’ll release right before the deadline which is august 6th im assuming.

I have to go on a work trip for 3 weeks. Now what is more weird, after waiting 5 months I resign just 3 days before Aug 6 without a decision.. or go on a 3 week trip and on the 3rd day I tell them this when I am working on a confidential project!! Like wow. Its a mistake to apply timely completely.

And yes, you got that right. They don’t want workload so holding decisions but they want the cashflow so encouraging. Well done on that theory.

Do you think this applies to the ones whose eligibility review hasn't begun?

It sucks that a visa decision is holding such a huge weightage in our lives. Worst case scenario 3 more weeks to go, so we better be prepared mentally lol.
