Yeah probably something to do with the test as my AOR is from 12th of May and I haven't received a test invite yet. Hoping for the best with this ghost update

Guys, got a quick question... The processing time calculator says 10 months for citizenship grant.... Does that mean we need to wait another 8 more months to get this all done?

Some take more time, some take less time. Look at the trackers (first page of this thread) to see how quickly in previous months.

I think IRCC approach is the estimate of 10 months means 80% of files complete within that timeframe - so it's not at all an average or median, it's their own definition of 'most.'

So median is definitely less than 10 months.

Running some hypothetical numbers: assuming the worst case scenarios are at 36 month mark (at which point it is mandamus territory) the average for 80% to be 10 months and rest 20% in 36 months, the overall average would come to around 15 months.

But, 80% mark may not be entirely arbitrary (again this is my personal assumption, I am not privy to internal processes), the massive delays would be coming from 20% of non-routine applications (pareto's principle) so reporting on the 80% mark makes sense. It gives enough leeway to the government to scrutinize the applications that need scrutiny without worrying about processing time but also can be used as a metric for accountability for the 80% of the routine applications.

Since then no updates on tracker though.

Some folks who got an update in the tracker before email got it 2-3 days after. Hopefully we get it before the start date.

I got the same date (July 11 to Aug 10) for test (i saw it on the tracker today) and NO email yet. But i think we can do the test even without the email, i went to the link that was in the yellow information box in the tracker and all you need for the test is the application and UCI number

Test cleared on July 1st, and there is no updates after that. Tracker still says
"Take the citizenship test / Citizenship test --> Waiting on you"
How many days on an average its taking these days for tracker updates ?
