Hi very similar situation, AOR 5th May and got a ghost update 5th nov, nothing after that. Usually after GU people are getting something completed or getting fingerprints or test requests. Where did you submit the application from? I did from Scarborough n I think application went to Sydney.

I'm in the exact same position as you and Abdi555. My AOR was on May 6th and I got a Ghost Update on Nov 5th. Nothing else so far. Here are my stats:

I'm thinking there might be a possibility that they may be taking a bit longer, due to the Nov 11 holiday in Canada, since all three of us have no updates since Nov 5th. Just a thought.

Quick one, i have some stamps in different languages (Turkish and Arabic) & couldn't find a translator who does both...what should i do? send two translation documents?

Yes. Treat the stamps as separate documents and have them translated separately. This is a very common situation.

Just saw that our background check was Completed on November 2nd. No emails yet. I hope we don't get test invite for next week, we are going on vacation from the 18-25. Do they usually give you a range of when you can do the test as opposed to a specific date?

The test range is 21 days they will give you a time period of 21 days and you have to take test between those dates and don’t worry you can still take the test when your are out of Canada but you have to tell them that you are on vacation on that time period and this information will be on the test email

I see you are an Ottawa applicant, so don't worry they dont send a Test invite so soon.

If you take the test outside of Canada they will ask you for your return date to Canada And they will interview you after you have returned to Canada. So your file is technically on hold from the time you take the test and your date of return to Canada. That's what I read on this forum.

It’s quite possible , May be since it’s a shortened week they took the week off. Expect to hear something this coming week.

I used this service ( www.docsbase.ca ). They are very fast with very good prices, it costs me $75 for 3 passports for around 15 stamps in Chinese and Arabic. As they mentioned in their web site, they translate any language.

Please note, you need to review the draft very well as they made some mistakes, but they are nice and they will make any changes you ask for. I have a computer expierence so I helped them throughout everything. Make sure they will include the passport's page number of every stamp along with the page number of this stamp in the translation file.

We are family of 3, applied in April 2022 and got our AOR in April'22 and completed our Test in July'22.

How do I check which case office is processing our case? as the test letter does not say any location or office?
